Re: Your ONE favorite character and your ONE favorite version of him/her

Hmmm... gotta go with Kuririn from the Saiyan and Namek arcs. Dude was vital for the adventure.

Re: Super Episode 129 (4 March 2018)

Belmod sure was talking a lot of shit. I really want to see his reaction to the fight's conclusion.

Overall, the episode had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Also, it felt off that the narrator didn't chime in to tell us how much time is left.

Re: Rank the Super Ending Songs!

1. Starring Star
2. Light Pink/Usubeni
3. Hello Hello Hello
4. An Evil Angel and Righteous Devil
5. Easy-Going Dance
6. Forever Dreaming
7. Chao Fan Music

Starring Star was an instant favorite, and Light Pink is close behind it.

When it comes to actual information, it's gotta be Geekdom101. I usually like to listen to him speak as I work on art and when I'm animating. I really like that he uses the Japanese terminology and constantly refers to Kanzenshuu as a source, despite some ignorant people telling him he's wrong for ...

Goku × Anne Frank Until the End of Time Animated Adaptation

I was contemplating on whether or not I should post this here, but I figured I should. A couple of friends and I got together to make an animated version of the infamous Goku and Anne Frank fanfiction. It's one of those "it's so bad it's good" kind of things, since it's really ridiculous, nonsensica...

Re: Dragonball Kai and the One Piece fandom

I don't know how much sense people here will get from me drawing from direct examples of One Piece arcs, as many don't follow it, but the way things are going, it's likely that the anime will still be covering the events of the Dress Rosa arc in 2 years time. That's a hell of a long time in the lif...

Re: Dragon Ball and the International Channel

I remember watching both Dragon Ball Z and GT on the International Channel! The first DBZ episode I saw on there was episode 210 in 2001. At the time, Cartoon Network was only in the Cell arc so I was pretty excited seeing an episode so much farther ahead on TV. Then in late 2001/early 2002 they sta...

Re: Did FUNImation irrepairably cripple the fandom in the US

Yeah, I get a lot of hostile people on my case when I mention I like the Japanese version and/or the Kai dub more than the original FUNi Z dub. I was once accused of being a "noob" because of it, despite being a huge fan since 1999. I don't mind if people have their preferences, but it really starts...

Re: One Hour Toriko/One Piece/DBZ crossover to Air April 7

The Toriko anime is pretty terrible in comparison to the manga. The anime took a lot of liberties by adding in a new character that follows the main cast around everywhere which interrupts the pacing, it's heavily censored, and dulls a lot of things down. At least its art and music are good. The man...

Re: One Hour Toriko/One Piece/DBZ crossover to Air April 7

Regarding Toriko's outfit resembling Goku's, well, yeah. It does. The anime tends to put him in that clothing the most, but he wears different things in the manga frequently.

Personally, I like that color scheme best.

Re: One Hour DBZ/Toriko/One Piece crossover to Air April 7

Dragon Ball and One Piece are my top two favorites, and I really love Toriko too! I'm looking forward to this. I don't understand all the Toriko hate, though. It's actually a really cool series. If you like DB and OP, I think you should really give it a chance. The anime makes way too many changes f...

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!

Bleach is in a six-foot hole on life support. I'm going to have to contradict that, especially since things have started to look up in terms of sales and maybe ratings too. No, that's not the case. Bleach's anime has been cancelled almost half a year ago, and if you take a look at the Jump tiers wi...

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!

If Toriyama is deeply involved in this movie, i'm sure his presence will assure an huge success. It will be interesting to compare who is bigger right now: Dragon Ball; Bleach or Naruto. That's easy; One Piece! ;P Out of those three, it's Dragon Ball if you count sales. Naruto is currently running ...

Re: The hype over Ocean Dub

Eh, I like some of the voices, such as the few they had for Goku and Saffron Henderson as Gohan, but I think the rest are sorta overrated. I also didn't like how the recording during the original FUNi days of '96-'98 sounded very... loud and "hissy." Shuki Levy's music just seemed to drone in the ba...

Re: Similarities between Dragon Ball and One Piece

Yeah, there are a lot of shared voice actors among the two. Piccolo and Ace are both voiced by Toshio Furukawa in Japan, and Goku and Kureha are both voiced by Masako Nozawa. Also, in the FUNimation dub, they share a LOT of voice actors too. Another similarity between the two that's a big factor amo...

Re: The Viz DBZ Manga: What was Censored?

Anyway, I flipped to the character page. Here is the character description of Mr. Satan: An ordinary wrestler who became world-famous when he took credit for defeating Cell. In the original Japanese manga he's known as "Mr. Satan" (it's supposed to be a scary wrestler name). (Right beside his chara...

I know, but you're assuming that everyone who speaks English is capable of replicating a Japanese accent.

I know plenty of my friends who trip over their tongue whenever they try to pronounce "Kuririn."
