Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I'm glad this chapter has spurred so much thoughtful discussion. As for Moro73's design, it's growing on me. It's still Old Moro > Young Moro > Moro73 for me, but I just compare this to Boohan or Bootenks. Isn't it just absurd that 7-3 can make a permanent copy of Moro's strength in the first place?...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

This was the first chapter of the DBS manga since the U6 tournament where I didn't see a single leak or spoiler online before reading. I need to do that more often. Staying off of the forum and social media since the last chapter released helped with that. Might do it again.... I really like the way...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I disagree with people who think that for Beerus Earth is only important because of tasty food. I mean, at first, yeah, that was probably his main reason, but at this point I believe he really likes Goku, Vegeta, and others. I do think Beerus has gotten much friendlier with the main cast, but who k...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Whis is a teacher. His training of Goku and Vegeta has been ongoing since RoF. He permits them to be put at risk, but he does little things to nudge them in the right direction (the Redo, distracting Broly while they practice fusion, secretly teaching them to fight as a team). He is also a teacher o...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

It feels like Goku vs Moro serves more as the backdrop for this chapter. It was intense at best and slightly generic at worst. If I were to judge the chapter with Goku vs Moro as the centerpiece, this would be my least favorite chapter of the arc, but Vegeta and Merus actually seem to be the focus. ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

For Vegeta to master an advanced Yardrat technique but be unable to figure out the most basic one would make no sense. Vegeta always seeks a different road to power from Goku. And Just because he says he won't do something, that doesn't mean he won't. As for the juiced up Omen, the SSB aura flames s...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Toyotaro losing script...really sucks for him. Since Dragon Ball isn't all that complicated anyway, I'm sure it'll be fine, and I would be shocked if things got delayed. As for Moro's belt symbol, all I know is that it represents some kind of "a" sound in the language used by the Galactic Patrol: ht...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I don’t expect any big consequence for Whis. We have to consider this arc is clearly not meant to be super important in the long term, as it’s clearly not written by Toriyama. Sure, he may have decided to write some consequence for Whis but I really doubt it. I think he only wrote Merus stuff for t...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Merus is a slippery guy. He was able to fight Moro with human strength. If anyone could sneak past Whis, it would be him. Also, I don't see Whis as the type of guy to physically restrain Merus. Whis has done what he can to help his younger brother, but he's already stuck his neck out for him once. T...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

He'd only do so if the cards were aligned up in a way to give him a decent reason to intrude on the Moro situation. Even then, if he did get involved it's for his own selfish reasons. Agreed. I do firmly believe divine intervention will be required for Moro to be put down for good, but I doubt it'l...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I don't think Beerus has a reason to interfere at this point. It's entirely possible that could change, but I don't see that being motivated by a desire to raise Universe 7's human level. Although, if the Super DBs are used to revive everyone killed by Moro (I not sure if Shenlong or Porunga could r...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Really great action chapter. High speed and high energy with a lot of dynamic angles. Omen is put on display with all of Goku's acrobatic moves. I especially enjoyed the string where Moro pulls Goku toward him, Goku fires back with shockwaves, and then they meet in an intense clash with great expres...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Not much to say about a few pages, but it's a good start to the fight. Moro can eat ki blasts, so using shockwaves is smart in the short-term. Perhaps Goku's strategy is to apply so much pressure that Moro doesn't have the opportunity to absorb energy. Even if Moro can absorb ki passively, we don't ...

Could the drop have anything to do with the corona virus? How are other manga selling these days? I heard that Vol. 12 was #2 in sales for its release date, but I don't know anything more about the context or what that actually means.

Either way, thanks for sharing this information.

Re: Moro Arc

I think it's about as good as it could've been. Toyotaro is by far the best we've seen at writing a Dragon Ball story aside from Toriyama. That has been the case throughout Super and it still is the case. He understands the characters and he understands the tone. Aside from effectively conveying the...

Haven't found this on here while reading, possibly missed it. But what do you guys think Vegeta could possibly obtain that will best Moro in any way? We know what sort of what things Yardrats are capable of, but I'm thinking about what could actually be useful against Moro. Considering that Vegeta ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I mean they're most likely going to use the Namekian Dragon Balls or Super Dragon Balls to resurrect those who were killed by Moro and his goons which would then cause the resurrection of other planets in U7 with sapient life that were killed by Boo & Freeza (& Beerus) we could potentially see Plan...
