The rumor is Funimation, Ocean, and Saban all chipped in to fund it. In Saban's case, that makes sense. Exclusive new Buu!Kai episodes would do well to boost the profile of their somewhat-struggling Vortexx block.

Man, CW really does not have their priorities straight. Whenever a character dies in an explosion, they change the smoke cloud to make it fairy like (because that's totally so much better than dirt), replace any mentions of death with "other world" and turn swollen eyes into actual swollen eyes ...

4kids never edited Kai. Funimation made the edits according to the CW's demands. 4kids doesn't even have anything to do with the block ...

There's been a schedule change for Saturday, August 11th. DBZ Kai will be airing from 8am to 12pm; everything else is pre-empted. I have an itch we'll finally see the Android/Cell arc when Vortexx starts.

We won't know that the Kai-lovin' kids exist en masse with any significance until they come around again in a few years talking about the crazy music changes they never understood and wondering why all the other clips they see online show Freeza with a horrible voice they don't remember from ...

Ratings were always good on Toonzai. Even the worn out reruns do decent, compared to the rest of the block.

No, The CW gave BS&P notes to 4kids on what they wanted changed in DBZ Kai. 4kids didn't have a choice but to apply the edits themselves.
