First three DBZ movies were released in the US on laserdisc (with the Pioneer English dub).

The fact that people still use *Hercule*, despite that name almost never being mentioned in the uncut dub, says a lot.

That's because it's used quite frequently (always?) in video games, or at least it used to be. Otherwise, yes, it would be a TV-only thing.

The GT singles have all of the next-episode previews subtitled. To my knowledge, no English release has NEPs for the original series.

Is that true? I know they're better then the Orange Bricks, but I've heard Funimation's Blu-rays have the best audio on any official release so far.

You can look up screenshots on the forum, but as far as I know, too, the sixth and seventh US boxes are just as sharp as the Japanese ones. Must have gotten a better encoder or something.

If I tried hearing the Japanese cast speaking in English it just wouldn't work, they'd end up sounding like foreign English speakers with Japanese accents. Nozawa would probably end up morphing into Rolf from Ed Edd n Eddy by the end of it.
