It's actually been on a steady up-tick since 2011, and last fiscal year in particular (linked above) blew all the recent years out of the water.

I wouldn't call any of that "laughable". 2010 and before, sure. Not certainly not the last year.

It's not really a "new" picture (and certainly not one worthy of a watermark) - it's simply that Toei updated the main DBS website's home page to include the new visual with layered images.
