I take the movies as “stories in a different dimension from the main story of the comic.

Even the Daizenshuu considers the movies to be in their own dimension. Having a movie like Fusion Reborn, Super #13, Lord Slug, etc would be impossible to fit into the anime or manga. Even the old Broli movies feel like What If stories now after Toriyama did his own take on the character for Super.

Trying to pull all of the DB films and shows into one timeline is like trying to put all the Godzilla movies into one timeline. It doesn't work and makes things way too confusing.

With GT, Goku's power was the same as an adult. With Daima, it would be more interesting if he has to fight without Super Saiyan and his power level is now back to how it was during the Pilaf saga.

Viz's manga translations are not very good. You can tell they were done in the 90s with Goku being like "What's up bro" in the first chapter.

I hated that Goku was a kid during the entire run in GT. It felt creepy and depressing that Chi Chi is married to a child (even if it's a 50 year old adult in a kids body) and that Goku would out live his friends & family.
