That's pretty good, although Battle of Gods sold about 48,000 copies in its first week.
Well, with the series adapting the movie soon, i guess they were expecting that.

I'm so proud of ROF feats!

- Stops FF7 worldwide streak of getting first everywhere in its debut.
- It didn't have it easy. Unlike BOG, ROF had to compete with FF7 and Conan since day one. And still made more money than BOG, in the end.
- More countries + More screens worldwide = More money.
- The home release sales are great. The gap between ROF and the other series is more than the double.

And like Araki said, everyone already know there will be a Super ROF arc, which may influence this sellings. Some people will wait for Super ROF arc and purchase the complete version.

A third movie is inevitable at this point. Let's just hope Toriyama will be with us for another ride.
Dragon Ball Forever.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Hmmm Battle of Gods sold 50,500 on Blu Ray and DVD on its first week which would be 3 days worth of sales. Resurrection F sold 41,000 copies across 5 days.

I think the announcement of the retelling of ROF in Super had an affect on sales.

And Super's F might be more fleshed out to boot.

I'm still betting we'll get a cool looking Chioka episode somewhere in the 20's or 30's.

Some folks already starting to get their U.S copies of the films, if anyone from Kanzenshuu has gotten them. What are the extra's like? The Japanese one's were pretty meh.

Well the engrish version was used in the subtitled release on iTunes, so it's almost certain that it's on both tracks on the BD too...

Dear Toei. Or Sony, or whoever is actually making this decision: STOP IT. Literally nobody wants the engrish version playing on the Japanese track. On the English track? Sure, I mean I don't think the engrish version of the song is any good, but at least it makes some sense for the English dub. But the Japanese track? Let us have the Japanese songs dammit!

I got the regular edition of the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack just now. It comes with an Ultra Violet Digital HD copy too. Extras on the back of the box are
The Voices of Dragon Ball Z: They're Back!
The Return of Dragon Ball Z
Textless Closing Song
U.S. Trailer
Trailers.

The discs are just the movie poster. Except it's just Goku, Vegeta and Freeza. I'll take pics later when I'm not lazy and just got home.

EDIT: There's also an insert for Extreme Butoden.

Above link includes details of the Hong Kong bluray release. What sets this one apart is the fact that this will be the only way to get the 3D version of the film. The 3D version is not included on the Japanese and American bluray releases. There is mention that it will come out November 5th.

Here's the Blu-ray cover art for Madman's release of Resurrection 'F' coming out on the 18th of November in Australia.
Image
I still find it strange that Madman are not releasing the film in Blu-ray 3D, even though they released the film in 3D at select theatres during it's theatrical run in Australia. They've released anime films on Blu-ray 3D in the past, so I don't know why they didn't do the same thing here.

Here's the cover art for Deltamac's special edition 3d+2d bluray. Looks good. Rather have it without any clock. In fact, sending a clock is like sending death. (You'll get the hononym if you speak chinese)

Expected cover, but man look how thick the case is! Though I plan on replacing the discs with my Japanese version so not really a big deal I guess.

The inner art is much much better then what FUNi gave us (which was just reg. Goku and Vegeta) and the fact we get both SSGSS Vegeta and Goku on the cover, (I suspect however FUNi's one has Vegeta on the back).

Agree. In the cinematic showing I went to, the Engrish version of the song was a laughing stock. People laughed at it harder than a lot of the gags in the film.

I find Toei's hubris regarding their handling of English translations for the world market deeply annoying. If they're insistent on doing it themselves, they at least need to get a native speaker to oversee the process, or at the very least, quality control it.

Cover of the regular bluray releases is pretty much the same with the movie poster as the standard cover. I'd buy the hong kong bluray in a heartbeat but the fact that they don't use tvb voice cast kinda turns me off.

No, it's not. The French release will have a 3D release as well. And funnily enough, it's also coming out on the 5th of November.
