Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Apparently I'm psychic because I called Heroes doing SSJ4 Gohan on another forum 3 months ago. Man I must be really good at this. XD
Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Well I wasn't implying that he lost power by being "destroyed", just that when his body was rebuilt, it could be stronger than before without the actual seeking of more power.BlazingBarrrager wrote:Well Mira wasn't completely destroyed so he might have been able to keep some (if not all) of his power despite being a piece of flesh. All we hear is him muttering "not enough energy" and Towa agreeing before they go off to "collect" more energy.
There hasn't been an official announcement yet, I don't believe. Japanese fanbase seems to think it'll be 11/19 though.DI297 wrote:So when is gdm5 being released? I wanna see who are the secs this time
I wouldn't get your hopes up on the SECs though. SS4 Gohan's cards were shown, but Towa and Super 17's new forms were not. There's a decent chance they could be the SECs. The people in charge aren't above ruining the surprises every now and then.
Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Well since GDM is doing something like Xenoverse + Online "story" is very possible that Demigra will be big foe behind everything in Heroes. So if he is the final boss in GDM he should be stronger than Super Mira and Dark Towa. Since there is no real story we can`t know. Maybe after Mira "died" in Xeno the Zenkai made him Super Mira and now he is stronger than Demigra. Right now this is my headcanon.
Since Heroes is doing the Hell Gate arc and the badies are coming back maybe Demigra is not coming so soon because he would also bring the badies back with his Dark Magic. Heroes would probably make Dark Magic cards for Freeza, Cell and others.

V-Jump for this month. Champa is appearing alongside Beerus in one of the Super Golden Freeza Arc battles for GDM5. (Mission icons at 0:49.) I suppose he could end up being a SEC, but I think they'll save his card (excluding potential promos) for GDM6.
Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Besides being in heroes looks like he is gonna be in that disc game too, I hope it means we are gonna see him sooner than expected in the animeTheDevilsCorpse wrote:V-Jump for this month. They're advertising Golden Oozaru Broli again? What are they going to pair him up with Golden Freeza or something? :p
Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Some of the cards for GDM5 can summon characters with a new ability, and one of the summons is golden oozaru Broly. He was shown in action in the anniversary video. That's probably the reason he is being advertised again.BlazingBarrrager wrote:They're advertising Golden Oozaru Broli again? What are they going to pair him up with Golden Freeza or something? :p
Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Too bad we are still missing cards for all the new Super Xing Longs... At least two of them would be summons. Also Hakaio Hirudegarn.

They'll probably never see cards by this point. Same for all the other new regular Babdi enslavements.DNA wrote:Too bad we are still missing cards for all the new Super Xing Longs... At least two of them would be summons. Also Hakaio Hirudegarn.

Question: Is the game official calling them Super Beerus & Super Golden Freeza arcs, or it's just you?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:V-Jump for this month. James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
They called called it the Super Beerus Arc, but this time around I've only seen "Golden Freeza Arc from Dragon Ball Super" type statements so far.

Has General Bon's name been discussed as well? I think it might be a mix of "Bull" and "Horn"
The scan called it Golden Freeza arc.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Question: Is the game official calling them Super Beerus & Super Golden Freeza arcs, or it's just you?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:V-Jump for this month. Kinda strange that "God Mission" has been more about Online/Xenoverse but whatever, at least it's new content. This Hell Gate arc can give them an excuse to reuse past villains, that's always nice.
Also, is Kid Kuririn and Merged Pilaf Machine already in the game? I thought the Pilaf Machine wasn't but they appeared in one of the last "How to Play" videos but no one commented on them, so...

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Kid Kuririn and the Pilaf Mecha were some of the first DB cards to be integrated.
Anyway, I brought up wondering what the pun was for General Bōn's name, but it never went anywhere because 95% of us don't speak/read Japanese. At least not well enough to hold a conversation on the matter. I originally thought it might have been an attempt to approximate the English word "bone", but there are better ways to do that (ボーネ). So, I dunno. Your guess is as good as any.

I've kinda been taking it as a play on "horn" (ホーン), just switching out the ホ for a ボ.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Anyway, I brought up wondering what the pun was for General Bōn's name, but it never went anywhere because 95% of us don't speak/read Japanese. SSJ4 Gogeta and SSJ4 Broly to be as free DLC for UM2 on 3DS, as well as a mystery card. Maybe SSJ4 Gohan?
That would be Team OP for me... SSJ4 Goku, Vegeta, Gogeta, Broly and Gohan! Can't wait for the update.
(p.s. posting here as UM2 post seems to be dead)

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
His name is written the exact same way "bone" is normally approximated in Japanese, and the pronunciation certainly matches too. I don't know why ボーネ would be better, unless there are dialects of English where the E in "bone" isn't silent...? Although that would make for a double pun with the Japanese word for "bone" (骨, pronounced ホネ/hone).TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Anyway, I brought up wondering what the pun was for General Bōn's name, but it never went anywhere because 95% of us don't speak/read Japanese. Anyway, I don't think I've seen the other discussions about this name, but I instantly thought "bone" the first time I saw it. Though I figured that didn't make much sense, so I wondered if it could be a pun on "bovine," or something else related to a theme among the Red Pants Army.

It's not a limited time DLC, right? Haven't yet started playing mineWilderness wrote:SSJ4 Gogeta and SSJ4 Broly to be as free DLC for UM2 on 3DS, as well as a mystery card. Maybe SSJ4 Gohan?

Oh yeah, it could be read as "Bone" as well, although my mind instantly went to "Horn/Born" because of him being a bull. I'm not that familiar with Online, do the other Red Pants members share a theme at all?TripleRach wrote:His name is written the exact same way "bone" is normally approximated in Japanese, and the pronunciation certainly matches too. Nope, you simply update your game on the 3DS.alakazam^ wrote:It's not a limited time DLC, right? Haven't yet started playing mineWilderness wrote:SSJ4 Gogeta and SSJ4 Broly to be as free DLC for UM2 on 3DS, as well as a mystery card. Maybe SSJ4 Gohan?

(p.s. posting here as UM2 post seems to be dead)I hope this doesn't mean they aren't planning on releasing UM3.

They may release QR codes for them, though. Not too sure about UM3. Would love one though, and hopefully they make it 3D this time!

Re: "Dragon Ball Heroes" On-Going Discussion Thread
Like I said, I don't actually know Japanese beyond basic pronunciations . I did try to do a little bit of research prior to taking a guess at his name, but most results just want to tell you bone is 骨. So even though I'm aware of how ボーネ should be pronounced, you can blame the assumption on Oda presumably knowing something I don't with ダズ・ボーネス.TripleRach wrote:His name is written the exact same way "bone" is normally approximated in Japanese, and the pronunciation certainly matches too. No idea. Most of what my fiance and I have looked through doesn't give the Red Pants characters proper names. Other than the Mrs. Bōn/Churai disguise stuff, It's just like "Dog Soldier" or something.alakazam^ wrote:Oh yeah, it could be read as "Bone" as well, although my mind instantly went to "Horn/Born" because of him being a bull.
