Would be a far more entertaining movie to watch, for sure! Well, Golden Cell Jrs. (?) would wreck the entire planet and the Z-Senshi, I can only imagine Gotenks killing them. Cell would completely humilate Gohan, beat him to a pulp and laugh of a lot of the fact he is now weaker than the last they fought. When Cell is about to eliminate Gohan, Goku arrives and see that Cell's power is above too many leagues to be beated alone so he teams up with Vegeta which is not enough and both were defeated. Then Beerus steps on the battlefield and fights against Cell using his never seen full power and somehow manage to destroy evil golden bio-android.
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Not to mention that he needs the password to use the Dragon Balls on Namek. He can't use them if he has no idea on how to summon them. If Cell needs to absorb #19 and Dr. Gero to become Perfect, he would gone back in time again and stop Vegeta from killing #19. We would have a bigger mess of time travel then we do now.
What if Yajirobe never went to the battlefield during the Saiyan saga? He is after all the one who cut off Vegeta's tail as he was squeezing Goku to death. He also slashed through Vegeta's back with his sword before he pulled off Gohan's tail.
In a way Yajirobe was one of the most important characters in the Vegeta fight.

I think Goku would have been done for and so would the rest of Earth.
What if Shuma-Gorath fully manifested in the DBZ universe and tried to conquer the cosmos? Could any of the Z fighters or maybe Beerus and Whis stop him?

I'm assuming this is Marvel Shuma-Gorath, due to that picture.
He's an immortal, reality warping, magical being whose aura alone destroys galaxies.

Beerus could kill him easily, Goku could probably do it if he used a Genki Dama or a max power Kamehameha.

What are they going to do? Punch him?
Well that doesn't mean he can't be defeated. He's been attacked with energy blasts before and DB characters have that in abundance. Plus DBZ Super is really upping the power levels of the characters. Broly in Movie 8 was already a galaxy destroyer. Now they're many levels above that.

And he shrugs off energy blasts like they're nothing. He's a magical being that can only be defeated by magical means, and, to my knowledge, this was only done by banishing him to another universe, not by overpowering him. He cannot be physically defeated.
Death(as in, the literal concept of Death) couldn't kill Shuma Gorath. Goku can't measure up to this. I don't care how many punches it takes him to destroy a universe; Shuma Gorath has conquered hundreds.
Shuma-Gorath could destroy DBZ Earth from his realm without having to enter their universe. In his battle with Doctor Strange in his realm, he created an Earth replica and whatever he did to it affected the real Earth. He was also part of a group that destroyed the abstract Death in an alternate universe where life grew uncontrollably and was nicknamed the Cancerverse. Even Beerus and Whis would at most be servitors of Shuma-Gorath.

He's immortal.
As I believe you said once, DBZ characters skill sets just don't work well with these kinds of abilities. They're better at fighting people with more physical skill sets that don't rely on special kinds of manipulation (matter, reality, etc.) Once you introduce those special powers, they don't have the power to really counter those abilities. So to powerful telepath's, reality warpers, etc they're kinda helpless.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.

Honestly, I feel this notion only exists because DBZ fighters have never experienced beings who can do those sort of things. In Xenoverse, Beerus was shown to be immune to mind control, and other characters including him have been shown to be immune to poison. In the DB world, the level of a character's ki is all that matters. No amount of mind control, reality bending, or magic means much of anything if the character's power level is much lower than the person he's using this stuff on. Higher SSJ2 tier characters were enough to render Babidi's magic useless. Buu's magic and reality bending were insufficient against Vegito.
That said, I'm not saying anyone in the DBZverse could beat Shuma-whatever. lol.

Babidi's magic is a joke compared to any mid to high tier magician in Marvel or DC, and Buu is no reality bender. Janemba is DB's only "reality bender," and he's nothing.
No Dragon Ball character has shown any kind of resistance to reality warping. You do not ascribe feats to characters that have never demonstrated them. And aside from Beerus, who has ever been immune to poison? The only other character who ever got poisoned was Goku, and he most definitely did not shrug it off.
This is sort of a 'multi parter' but it all flows together.
What if Kami got his youth back along with King Piccolo? How much stronger would he be? What if Kami started training again throughout the 23rd Tournament to the early Celll Saga? So when he and Piccolo finally re-combine in the Cell Saga, how much stronger do you think he would be.
Honestly I think he'd be as strong if not stronger than Perfect Cell.

I really don't think he'd be any stronger. I don't see there being any kind of multiplier involved here, it was just Piccolo becoming "complete," again. I think that the Kamiccolo we see is what the nameless Namekian would have been had he trained, not just Piccolo getting a boost from Kami.

Ah really? That's a shame. I always thought that with Kami being much stronger, their eventual complete self would be even stronger. Oh well I still think it'd be cool to see Young Kami fight

I mean, he might be. I just never took it that way.

Mr. Satan tried to poison Buu, IIRC.
Hypothetically speaking, I just think any of those threats could be dealt with a punch to the face if they were written into the DB world. Ki is more important than anything else when it comes to measuring power in this universe; it seems to nullify everything else.

....Buu is immortal magical bubblegum. Not really comparable to a "normal" mortal being.
You can't say that ki is more important when we haven't seen it trump these abilities. A reality bender could turn Ki into lead. You are ascribing feats to characters who have not demonstrated anything like that before.
