If Goku and Vegeta had stayed as Vegetto, how would the series have ended?

I think everybody would be pretty confused, but would have to learn to accept it. It would be funny because Vegetto is pretty cocky which is totally unlike Goku really so all his friends would have to get used to a new person really. I think that they would all be tougher though, the likes of Goten, Trunks etc. It's not good news for Chi Chi though lol her husbands just came back and there he goes again... but this time forever.

Actually another question, if you died fused, would you go the heaven/hell fused or would you split?

First off, there's no way Toriyama would've ended the series like that. Having two sworn rivals fused forever? Besides, Yemma allowed Vegeta to return so he could fight Buu. When Goku was talking about fusing with someone (the dance), Piccolo said something about the fusion not working because the dead have to return to their place. So, I'm pretty sure Vegeta would have to return to hell, maybe by the hand of Shenron or something... (Rocketman will be here in seconds)

-No Uub since Vegetto would vaporize Kid Buu with no effort.

-Altered GT, there's no Goku to be wished into a kid, and no Vegeta to be possessed by Bebi. Bebi may possess Gohan, but...*scoff*
-That scoff applies to S17 and the Evil Dragons too.

-Or, Kid Vegetto.

-Some 'mega-event' would finally mean something. "Goku's a Super Saiyan...now everyone is", "Piccolo rejoins with Kami!...but now they're useless", "Gohan's unlocked his true power!...but wastes it", "Goten and Trunks have huge potential!...and waste it", "Goku and Vegeta sacrifice themselves heroically!...but they're back now", "Goku and Vegeta give up everything and fuse permanently!...but not really". Goddamn.

So, I'm pretty sure Vegeta would have to return to hell, maybe by the hand of Shenron or something

Shenron can't affect beings stronger than him against their will.

It's not like Shenron "asked" No.18 if she wanted the bombs out of her. He claimed that it didn't change them fundamentally or something. In that case, simply returning the fusees to normal, they wouldn’t need their consent. At any case, Goku would be willing to defuse and if Vegeta had a problem with that, Goku would force Vegeta to see it “his way” and you know it

Goku and Vegeta don't exist anymore, remember? Vegetto is his own being (refers to himself in the singular, etc). Splitting the fusion would be changing him fundamentally, since it would kill him.

Unless Vegetto lended them the potara. But that would probably cause even more problems...

Well, if Goku and Vegeta stayed fused, and then offered Bulma and Chi Chi potara, then Gohan, Trunks, Goten, and Bra would all have to be brother and sister... which would end in chaos. So they would most likely round up the dragonballs and unfuse all four of them
