Universe 6 tournament combatants?

I mean, from the outset Universe 7 is almost definitely going to be represented by either the five Saiyans OR you have the kids fused, with Piccolo being the fifth fighter. It's going to be one or the other. Almost definitely.

BUT! But. If we're talking ideal choices? ...well, I mean, okay, Goku and Vegeta have to be there, whether one wants them to be or not. There's no point even entertaining the possibility of anything else, even on a dream lineup. Those two are guaranteed participants. For the other three, though? You could make a case that there's room for more outlandish choices. My next pick isn't one of them. I adore Piccolo, he is Big and he is Green and he is my friend. Resurrection 'F' teased me with the notion of him getting a proper one-on-one fight for the first time in ruddy ages, til that frickin' tracksuit-wearing dorkatron stole his thunder. Bah. He's owed a battle, and I reckon he'll get one at some point in Super. This seems as good a time as any for it, so sure? Why not.

Then we come to Freeza. I honestly hadn't entertained the possibility of him being a part of this arc until the idea was brought up in this thread, but now... I so want him reluctantly representing Universe 7. Having him go through the torment of a forced alliance with our heroes would be hilarious, and the idea of pitting him against a noble, sympathetic fighter from Universe 6 is just the sort of moral irreverence I adore seeing in this series. I love the character, and Resurrection 'F' left me chomping at the bit for even more of him. However, my desire for his participation in this arc is conditional. One, I wouldn't want it to be the result of yet another resurrection - have him survive the Resurrection 'F' arc. Instead of that do-over nonsense, have Champa interrupt just as Freeza's about to be finished off, leading directly into the tournament arc. Second of all, I wouldn't want this to be a permanent redemption by any means, merely a temporary alliance of convenience. As soon as the tournament ends, he's Goku and the gang's arch-enemy again, and can be dispatched as quick as the writers like. As for my ideal fifth fighter... I'm not picky. Kuririn would be cool, #18 would be cool, Tenshinhan would be cool, Buu would be cool, Jaco would be really, REALLY cool... I'd be fine with Gotenks since he's a super fun character, but at the same time this arc is an opportunity to give the many, many non-Saiyan characters an opportunity to shine, and having two on the team is already more than enough for me. I'd really rather Gohan not participate, though. Like, I love the guy, in spite of the fact he's a frickin' tracksuit-wearing dorkatron, but I really have no interest in seeing a character who doesn't want to fight fighting, unless it's played for laughs ala Freeza above.

Of course, all of this is just personal preference. They could make the five Saiyans be Universe 7's sole combatants, and the arc could still very well end up being the most heartfelt, funny, exciting, clever thing to come out of Dragon Ball. I don't want to pretend my fannish wishlist of exactly who I want to punch the newest batch of baddies in the face is a prerequisite for this arc being well-written by any means... but I'm not going to pretend I wouldn't be giddy if it came true. Failing that? Five Jacos vs five Jacos. Please. Thank you.

- Vegeta vs. The Saiyan Prince of Universe 6

- Piccolo vs. An Evil Namekian from U6(I hope that the Namekians in Universe are all Evils)

- Gohan vs. A Saiyan hybrid form Universe 6

- Majin Buu/Uub vs. Another Magical being form Universe 6 or

-Kuririn/Tenshinhan vs. The Last survivng Earthling from Universe 6

Nobody at Shueisha's gonna read or take ideas from internet posts anyway. Whatever plot Uni 6 has it's already long since been decided. Nothing I or anyone else here can do to influence the plot.

Oh boy,i wish freeza would be in it.I really wish hehe.

Freeza has been and still is my favorite villain, in db and fiction.When i heared that he was going to come back and have the power to rival blue ssj god goku and vegeta i was super happy.And i wasnt disappointed.Freeza had to lose,its how it works.So him simply losing power was a good idea,since it meant that he started as stronger than the protagonist.

Still though.I'm a bit puzzled,both goku and vegeta are very close to beerus in power,and champa seems to be weaker than beerus.

So if goku and vegeta would join the tournament what kind of ridiculously powerful people could champa find that would ensure him his win.

Well I'm curious to see how it will be.

I agree this sounds horrible, and it sounds like satiating the shipper mentality. Especially since shipper children combine the names of two people from time to time. Yeah no thanks.

Also, nobody calls that ship by the Vegetto and Gogeta fusion names (that I'm aware of), it'd be way too confusing. They take the first two syllables, like VegeBul is Vegeta/Bulma. It's either KakaVege or VegeKaka depending on personal preference.

If that came off as hostile to you, then that is my mistake. The way I see it, if Uni 6 was going to do the whole reverse gender stuff, it would only make sense for Goku and Vegeta's counterparts to both be of the opposite sex. But I get there is some fans that like that weirdish stuff you mentioned. IMO, it just feels tacky and unnecessary. This arc could do with some never before seen characters of this new universe, rather just gender swaps/personality rehashes of the main cast. This arc has the potential of adding more new content for the games.

I subscribe to this hope. Beerus and Whis were great additions to Dragon Ball, hoping for more good ones. Champa and Vados have boring designs(repetitive), still have to see more of them to make a judgement on their personalities.

I trust in Mr. Toriyama, starting with the moment he said to be creating a bunch of new character designs. It seems the joy was been restored.

Everyone on Universe 6 will be a different character expect the Super Saiyan God on U6 which is a female Goku. When Super Finishes Toei will then go tell Female Goku's story as a new Dragonball anime for years to come.

- Krillin (Probably will be back with a power up after he decided to get out of retirement on ep.16)

It's said earth is a wasteland, I bet in universe 6 Goku didn't hit his head and so he killed every earthling. He will be sane though, unlike how Multiverse portrayed him. He probably teamed up with Vegeta to kill Freezer, they could also probably have restored the Saiyan race through Namek Dragon Balls so we might also see other very powerful Saiyans like Bardock, or King Vegeta. Or maybe Raditz and Nappa also got good.

Afterall, I think it's really probable we will see Kakarot as Goku never hitting his head is the most famous "What-If" of the entire Dragon Ball series.
That's my bet.
After the tournament there will be a plot around Goku, Vegeta and who knows who other will go around the 13 universes collecting Super Dragon Balls for whatever reason.

I want something more original then just copies of characters that we already seen. My idea for U6 fighters.

1. Humanoid wolf fighter
2. A lizard humanoid fighter
3. A fighter from Yardrat
4. A wizard or sorcerer (Someone who is not related to Babibi or Buu)
5. A strong female fighter

Throw in the fishsticks, if Bardock and Raditz were resurrected (especially Raditz, he needs a change of heart), why not bring Gine in the anime.
