Yo-kai Watch broke the 6.0 mark for the first time ever since Super started airing, so it's kind of understandable why Super is below it.

DVR top 10, September 28 - October 4

http://www.tvguide.or.jp/ranking/timerr ... index.html

1 - Yokai Watch
2 - One Piece
3 - Detective Conan
4 - Gintama
5 - Dragon Ball Super (episode 13)
6 - Lupin III (new series)
7 - Anpanman
8 - Ushio to Tora
9 - Pokemon XY
10 - Shuriken Sentai Ninninger

Other than Lupin, no premiere generated enough interest to make the top 10, leaving room for Pokemon and Ninninger. Not much else to say.

Any reason for Conan's sudden rise in popularity? It went from being around 6.0 - 7.0, in the same realm as DBS, to 8+.

I think Conan is doing better because of Kindaichi's season 2 debut as the lead-in. The previous show in the timeslot (The Ultimate Otaku Teacher) flopped so much that it was hurting Conan. Kindaichi is getting ratings that are at least twice as high, let's see if it holds up.

Lets see how the ratings will be in the following weeks with new content.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

top 10 live ratings, October 12 - 18 (episode 15)

Sazae 14.0
Chibi Maruko-chan 9.6
Doraemon 9.1
Crayon Shin-chan 9.1
One Piece 8.7
Detective Conan 7.6
Dragon Ball Super 6.5
Kindaichi Case Files R 5.1
Yokai Watch 5.0
Go! Pretty Cure 4.1

Pretty good week. what's relevant is that DB Super keeps being a better lead-in to One Piece than Kindaichi is to Conan. OP and Conan used to be on the same level, so that's a good way to measure how DB is performing.

Anyway, Toei must be glad, as 4 out of the 10 most watched series are theirs. And only OP, DB and Precure are morning anime here.

That top show that has the highest ratings, is it a family show that's been airing in Japan for like 60 years or something? Why do so many people watch it?

Sazae-san is basically The Simpsons of Japan. It's a cultural icon in that country.

Anyways, good ratings Super. Keep it up! :)

Pretty good ratings. Hopefully it will keep up the good ratings with the new content, and hopefully it will stay strong for the F arc since that should be an improvement over the movie.

Maybe if the Universe 6 arc is good, the ratings will surpass One Piece, even if it's only 0.2%. I mean, let's face it, the One Piece anime is in bad shape right now.

http://www.tvguide.or.jp/ranking/timerr ... index.html

1st: Yokai Watch - 100.0
2nd: Lupin III - 95.7
3rd: One Piece - 87.2
4th: Doraemon - 82.1
5th: Detective Conan - 71.1
6th: Gintama - 64.7
7th: DBS - 61.8 (Episode 14)
8th: Mobile Suit Gundam - 60.6
9th: One Punch Man - 55.3
10th: Shin-Chan - 51.7

Super has establish a 5th to 7th place range. Hard to displace the old order, regularly. We need Universe 6 for some new material.

The last 4 episodes ratings went as

6.6 -> 5.5 -> 6.5 -> 5.5

Not sure if there's some pattern going on here, maybe next week it'll be in the mid 6 range.

Hmm, a bit of a dip from last week. But Super has been such a rollercoaster in the ratings it wouldn't surprise me if next week's rating was over a 6.0.

Supers ratings are truly impossible to judge! I thought this episode would've had quite high ratings. Hopefully this episode will be high on the DVR chart.

I am expecting episode 17 to do really well, mostly because of the preview and the quality of episode 16
