What the heck? XD I don't know the Japanese script so can someone tell me if this dialogue is even in it?
Nope, they don't even talk at all...I think. I haven't seen that movie in a long time but I'm certain they don't mention the fish thing.
It's a short little final "oh yeah those two were out there too" gag to end the movie, yeah. No dialogue.

That stuff above seems more like some dumb joke you'd find in a Youtube parody, did they seriously add that? Ouch.

"Destructo disk" is pretty corny, though.
Same here, I would have called it Energy Disk or something simple. :P

Can't wait to see how TFS handles that.

Say what you will about it not belonging there, and it certainly is 'dumb', but it's the best kind of 'dumb' there is, at least in my books.

That exchange, along with Goku's 'people popcorn' moment in the Boo arc, are easily the two best dub additional lines that ever came out of the dub.

When Nail regenerates his arm Freeza says he'll have to, "make a copy of that power." I can't even fathom what they were getting at with that line.

- Oozaru = Great Ape/Gorilla
- Tsufuru = "Tuffle"
- "Satan" being Videl's surname.
- The spelling of "Vegito" in the dub & and all the taunt exchanges in his fight were pretty bad.
- The "Triple Strike" = Ocean dub's Spirit Bomb.
- Vegeta's speech to the Earthlings for Spirit energy was pretty corny.

And the notorious:
(Gasp) "I-WILL-NOT-LET-YOU-DESTROY-MY-WURRRRL'D" - Goku

and.. "ITS CHEEEZE". It's not necessarily BS, just bad forced humour in the delivery.
One_Instance wrote:"Spirit Ball" which comes from Sokidan.
Like a lot of the names for attacks it's really lame and generic. I would've listed more but all the ones I can think of off the top of my head have already been taken.
Don't get me started with "Burning Attack!", "Angry Kamehameha" and "Death..." ball, beam, slash, wave...whatever.
...AND "Thunder Flash" = Fire?

You're quite right, I forgot this was the BS thread!
I just find it funny and memorable.
It's kinda BS throwing in the correct Japanese term in a dub that already mistranslated and mispronounces it regularly.
Zephyr wrote:The fandom's collective fetishizing of "moments" is also ridiculous to me. No, not everyone needs a fucking "shine" moment. If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

Freeza telling Nail to use his torn off arm as a backscratcher.

This one:

Freeza: Your shoe lace came untied.

Goku: I'm not going to fall for that one. I don't even have shoe laces!

Freeza: I guess you're smarter than you look.

I'm sorry, but you have to be twisted to the core if that's your response to blowing someone up/skewering him. FUNimation did an exemplary job portraying Frieza as a sadistic, appalling individual that truly relished in the misery he caused others.

It's actually:

"Nice move but your shoe came untied."
"I'm not going to fall for that. I don't even have shoe laces."
"Darn, I guess you're a little smarter than the average saiyan."
"My dear friend, how can I make this even more painful for you? I could crush your hands, rip off both of your ears, or maybe I'll just smash in your tiny little cranium. Ehehehehehehehe."

How, exactly, is "Saiyan" mistranslated? Would you rather it be translated as Saiya-people? Or perhaps Saiya-man (which obviously brings up a problem later down the road)?

When Bulma meets Ginyu frog for the first time she says, "I can be the next Jane Goodall just with frogs!"

Why would Bulma mention a real life person who doesn't exist in the Dragonball universe? For those who don't know Jane Goodall is an old woman who lives with monkey's and tries to communicate with them.

Its even worse than Goku saying "Sir Isaac Newton" when the apple from the tree falls on King Kai's planet.
