Not really a fanart, but a fanwork.

My custom Plan to Eradicate the Saiyajins DVD Cover!

Which will be very useful as soon as I figure out how the hell to put subtitles on my DVD....

*Please excuse the FUNimation logos... it's the only style I know, and I was going for a nice proffesional touch*

http://img221.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... ateto6.jpg

*I've since touched it up, made the background a bit more interesting, and fixed the white spots from the Dragonball Z logo; I just don't feel like resizing and uploading again ;P*

nathantheguitarist, *takes deep breath after saying that*

That is one wicked fan cover, and If I had said animation I wouldn't hesitate to slap that on it. If I may offer a little critique, I would've placed Hyatchik a little higher into the center instead of Piccolo. But still, awesome work.

I was planning on making bootleg Dragonball GT dvd's (for myself) since I hated the fact that it costs like $300 for the whole (64 episodes omg) series.
Give me some time to resize, and upload, and I'll post the covers for that.
I estimated that the whole series could be crammed into 11 discs instead of 20. But please note that I never went anywhere with this, especially since the burner on my laptop took a shit

And I do have some other stuff, but they arent good, and they arent Dragonball... so I don't want to waste time uploading them, cause they're just irrelevent :D

Thank you for the critique, I needed that

But unfortunately, that picture is THE biggest picture I could find, and the fact that that's the whole picture on there (notice blue at the bottom and top on the "front" of the label), it wouldn't really help for ol' Hatchyak to be in the middle, cause then the whole placement of that one picture wouldn't look good, and then I'd need to find somewhere else to cram in the "DBZ" logo at the top.

A Fusion picture. It's kinda not DBZ, but the general concept of fusion is in it.

Ok, here's my failed bootleg DBGT project

It would've been a nice set, especially as much work I put into these covers, but I guess the big guy above didn't want me to have bootlegs... so he killed my poor little dvd burner

These were for thin-paks btw

Blackstar Dragonballs Saga
Disc 01
Disc 02
Disc 03

Baby Saga
Disc 04
Disc 05
Disc 06
Disc 07

Super 17 Saga

Shadow Dragons Saga
Disc 09
Disc 10
Disc 11

I used the descriptions from FUNi's site hehe.

And here's a pic of what the spines add up to be.

Notice the "omfg" consistency lol? Damn the "lost" episodes!

Great Piccolo, Snail. :) Well, its time for some fanart of my own. I wanted to put some of stuff of my own down without breaking the "rules" of Kaboom's thread, so I made it work. :) Here is one of the main characters of a story I've been working on. Enjoy: Keenth a la Goku...title sounds nice to me.. the picture came out 'meh' imo but I can live with that.

Good to see you got that up with all the imageshack problems 8)

Heya. I have news of an impending update!

The update is... (drumroll) ...my GT fanfiction! Yes, folks, the very same fanfiction you've seen zilch of since November! I'm in full swing writing up chapter 3, so expect to see it up sometime tomorrow night or Tuesday morning.

As an added bonus, from now on starting with this one, I'm planning on including at least one little chunk of artwork per chapter, as sort of "illustrations" to go along with the events within. Nothing big or fancy, just some little black-and-white pieces to add a little personal, visual touch. I'm not yet sure if I'll put the URL to them on FF.net, or just make them a "DaizEX-clusive!" (Ooh! I claim that term! It's mine! Nobody take it! *snarl* I need sleep)

...Ummmm, I also originally had an opinion question to ask, but I'm too tired now. Gonna go to bed, and ask it in the morning.

You live in America, just fucking save up the money to buy the FUNi releases. And if your reason for not doing it is "But it's not uber-duper Dragonbox!", then ... meh. I'm not bothering. If you're gonna reply to this post, it better be you saying this bootleg project was before 2003. Mike isn't the only one who gets pissed at deliberate bootlegging.

But on the flip side, cool covers.

I was going to do my own bootlegs cause I'm poor as hell, and in order for me to save up $300+ would've taken forever... but you don't even have to worry, because I designed these before I did anything else. My dvd burner broke, and then for some reason I couldn't even download the episodes... so I thought I would wait and see if FUNi is going to re-release DBGT like DBZ.

Dont get pissed at my poverty, I could get just as pissed at someone being rich.

But the good thing is that I don't even feel like going through bootlegging, because it IS bad, and I DO want to buy the actual releases... the whole project started out of a slight anger because I totaled the dvd prices all up and got upset

Hey, just so ya' know, we're not all exactly in the lap of luxery ourselves. A lot of us have student loans to pay off, living on our own paying on rent and utilities, some still in high-school, etc. etc. But it still isn't too hard to put some money aside for saving up. This is from Amazon, the cheapest and best way to attain the entire 100% Uncut GT series as released by FUNi, from there:

Black-Star Dragonballs Saga Starter-Set (Lost-Episodes Volume 1, open slots for Lost-Episodes Volumes 2-5): $30.99
Black-Star Dragonballs Saga Lost-Episodes Volume 2: $17.99
Black-Star Dragonballs Saga Lost-Episodes Volume 3: $17.99
Black-Star Dragonballs Saga Lost-Episodes Volume 4: $17.99
Black-Star Dragonballs Saga Lost-Episodes Volume 5: $17.99
Baby Saga Pt1 Box-Set (Volumes 1-5): $53.99
Baby Saga Pt2 / Super 17 Saga Box-Set: (Volumes 6-10): $53.99
Shadow Dragon Saga Box-Set (Volumes 11-15): $39.99
A Hero's Legacy (Goku Jr. Special): $21.99

Doing the math, that comes to an overall $272.91. Well over $200 cheaper than the GT Dragonbox, as that came around to over $500. Do what ya' will.

You put that there thinking I don't know how to buy Dragonball GT -__-

I know where to go, I'm not going to make bootlegs, now settle down, it's ok...

Nathan, all those covers look FRICKEN AWESOME. I would actually buy the Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans if it looked that cool on the cover, even though I know the footage really isn't anything of particular interest to me. It would just look fricken sweet in my collection like that.

Get a job at FUNi and take over the cover design department, please. Your covers are as good or better than the old Ocean DVD's (which were sweet).

DAMN Nathon! I love the color change per saga on the GT covers.... I actually looks almost perfect. Only downside is that you can tell sometimes that the images where pasted but it's not a big deal considering you didn't have all the time in the world to put them in there. Really I love em. Duo is right, you go show those media types over at FUNImation who's boss... 8)

P.S. At a loss for words...

UPDATE!

Well, folks, I promised it the other day, and now it's finally done and ready. Here's Chapter 3 of DragonBall GT Revised!

Click me if you want me, baby!

It's a doozy, at least twice as long as the first two chapters, and a lot more detailed. All of my comments on it are included in the notes at the beginning, so there's not much to say here that I haven't already said there. However, there is one thing you guys get that the normal readers don't, and that is...

Smexy, "DaizEX-clusive" Illustrations!

As promised, here's the first of the series of artworks that will accompany each chapter from now on (I made a seperate Photobucket account just for them). Since this one in particular is for the first three chapters, I took the time to make it intricate and good-looking, and that's the reason it took until tonight to get this all put up, instead of last night or this morning like I'd originally intended. Keep in mind that ones in the future won't be this exhaustive; they'll merely be small, sketch-quality illustrations intended to add a visual aid to the chapters. But that means everything will be up quicker in general, and some chapters will probably have multiple artworks.

...Yup. Whatcha think?

Same here... I like your style of drawing Sean. VERY NICE! 8) I'll read the fanfic too...

EDIT: Wow that was a quick read. Still I love the small changes you made and even a new character... I always wondered what it would be like if Goku had a grandson. I will write a review on the fanfiction.net entry sometime soon. Maybe for the next chapter... all I can say is that it is a real enjoyable read. 8) :D
