Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
So has anyone watched the DVD's yet? I'm really curious if they've improved the animation or art.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
The first rental DVD only includes Episodes 1-3. There really isn't much they should bother with fixing there. December 2nd will be the real test, to see if #5 gets fixed. It's the only one that truly needed it.

While I agree with you, I don't get it... You think they only gonna make improvements in only really needed episodes, not all?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:The first rental DVD only includes Episodes 1-3. Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
The other episodes weren't perfect but they're not so bad that they need to go back to the drawing board and fix them like ep5 so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the only one that get's improved.Noah wrote:While I agree with you, I don't get it... July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Also let's not forget Super is ongoing too so do they have time to touch up every single episode for home release? Probably not.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Anyone know the animation staff behind episode 17? The beginning of the episode, with Goku and the tractor and basically that whole scene, reminded me of one of the people who drew episodes on the Original Z. Keisuke Masunaga, or as I like to call him, the pointy-nose guy.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Page 3 of the episode's thread says it's someone named Ishikawa: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... &p=1008196
I checked the animation styles guide; there's an Ishikawa there for Z, but I don't know if it's the same guy. http://www.kanzenshuu.com/animation-styles/

On hiatus.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Ishikawa Osamu is not Ishikawa Shingo, who worked on Dragon Ball Z. Ishikawa Shingo was an employee of K-Production. Before Dragon Ball Super Ishikawa worked on the Tenth Anniversary film, too.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Don't you mean 16? The tractor was barely seen on 17.FutureGohanSSJ2 wrote:Anyone know the animation staff behind episode 17? 16 was done by Iseki Shuichi, and many people were reminded of Masunaga episodes.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Iseki was born in 1985, too, so he definitely didn't work on Dragon Ball Z. He's probably just a fan of Masunaga Keisuke.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I did! My apologies. I just got done marathoning the last 2 episodes (16 and 17) and 17 was fresher on the mind. Thanks for the clarification.Araki wrote:Don't you mean 16? Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
The show will probably keep going as long as it makes money, and considering what happened with Kai I think that this time Toei will consider how well the show does outside of Japan as well. The show could end after Universe Six, or it could go for a couple years, we'll just have to wait and see.SSJGBGoku wrote:Do you guys think that there's a possibility that there might more than 3 Sagas that is saga after Universe 6 arc ? Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Its also possible they'll take breaks. Like the show will end for a year...come back 2 years later, etc.
Something similar to the break in Kai between the Cell and the Buu arcs.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
That wasn't intentional though. Buu Kai was never supposed to air on TV it was made purely for international audience. Toriko however was doing horrendous from what I understand so they pulled that and shoved Buu Kai in there instead since it was already done and all they had to do was cut it etc.precita wrote:Its also possible they'll take breaks. U6 might be 2 arcs,a tournament arc and the super dragon ball arc.SSJGBGoku wrote:Do you guys think that there's a possibility that there might more than 3 Sagas that is saga after Universe 6 arc ? Any hope ?
I think as long as it has high ratings, gets people to buy merchandise&Toriyama wanting to write more then it'll probably go way beyond 3 arcs.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Even if Toriyama wants to retire from the franchise again they could keep going if it's doing well, they could just ask him to give them some "world" information to work with and have him throw some ideas their way and then maybe show him what they plan for approval.sintzu wrote:U6 might be 2 arcs,a tournament arc and the super dragon ball arc.SSJGBGoku wrote:Do you guys think that there's a possibility that there might more than 3 Sagas that is saga after Universe 6 arc ? What? So they intended to end Kai in the Android Arc? Absurd.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:That wasn't intentional though. Buu Kai was never supposed to air on TV it was made purely for international audience...

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
They didn't "intend" to. They canceled it when it wasn't moving/selling the merchandise they hoped and replaced it with the "new blood", Toriko. International backers helped to fund the continuation for the Buu Arc for their markets though. When Toriko ended up not doing any better, and since they already had the Buu Arc finished for the international audience, they just slapped it back on TV to take up space until they decided what to do next. It just so happened that thing to do next was Super, because BOG and "F" started another mini revival of the franchise.Noah wrote:What? So they intended to end Kai in the Android Arc? Well, it did happen. Nobody thought it was just a "break" in 2011.Noah wrote:What? So they intended to end Kai in the Android Arc? Absurd.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:That wasn't intentional though. Buu Kai was never supposed to air on TV it was made purely for international audience...
