Will DB Heroes game ever come to America?
This has probably been asked a billion times and if it's found annoying I apologize, though with the recent success of DB heroes it'self along with the movie's in America, and hopefully Super when it's dubbed, do you guy's think Heroes will ever come over too? I know that arcade machines aren't big in the US as they are in Japan, but it could be ported to home consoles such as 360/ps3 xbo/ps4 or even PC. Now, I know a lot would say "It's a card game not a computer game" or something that. Though with that I argue simply because a "Card scanner" could be implanted on home consoles. For Example, When I was growing up I remember a game system called "Hyper Scan". You could play numerous games on it such as Ben10, Batman, and other current things at the time. I'll use "Ben10" as an example, you hooked the system up to your TV, and on the system was a "Card scanner". You got a booster pack with the system I believe to start you off, sort of like "Yu-gi-oh starter kit's" does. The card's you collected were of Ben10's transformation's. Say you had the card "FourArms" one of Ben's transformations, you scanned the card and you got to play as fourarms and use his power. I think it would be very cool if they used this with DB Heroes, but of course a more Improved set up, so that you get all the fun and function's from a home console that you do from the actual arcade. It's possible anyway's, what's your guy's thoughts on this? would it work? With a Card Scanner, you wouldn't take the fun away from collecting the card's either! To be honest, I think Yu-gi-oh games in general should have capitalized on this. After all were in the age of digital media, especially Video Games.

I doubt it. The game won't sell well since only a niche group of people will go out and buy it. I don't think the new DBZ TCG sold that well since I always seem them sitting around collecting dust at local stores. Same with the last two TCG releases a while back.

No. None of that's going to happen for DB here in the US. The best you could hope for is that the powers at be somehow decide it would be a good idea to localize the inevitable next Heroes: Ultimate Mission game for the 3DS.

I've never really experienced arcades outside of the ones down the shore and a few others. I could see it fitting in at some of the shoreline arcades. The ones I visit when I'm down there always seem pretty good about keeping up with the times in terms of regularly getting new machines in.

Arcades mainly exist on boardwalks at beaches these days in the US. Arcades started to die out during the start of the 2000's decade thanks to PC and console gaming.

I love the idea's of the DB Heroes cards, mainly like most people like Yu-gi-oh! or collecting baseball cards, Japan is lucky.

Dragon Ball trading cards recently don't seem to sell that well. I think only very few people would buy, collect and play Heroes in the US. The other fans will end up skipping it since it's not there thing.

That is also true, I think it would be because people like the "fighting" of Dragon Ball and would prefer full blown video games, or Anime preferred to a card game, which I can understand that. It's probably best to just release the next Heroes 3ds game here (Hopefully), though I think it would also be interesting if we got a Heroes game and lost the card theme, and create a Story like Xenoverse did, adapt the characters from the cards and just go wild with it. Explain character backstories, etc.Hellspawn28 wrote:Dragon Ball trading cards recently don't seem to sell that well. I think only very few people would buy, collect and play Heroes in the US. Edit- For some odd reason I think the next Xenoverse game is going to adapt a lot from Heroes itself.

Oxford Valley Mall in PA used to have this big arcade called Kahunaville--food wasn't great, but so many arcade games; it's gone now, replaced by a Forever 21Xeztin wrote:Very true, which sucksHellspawn28 wrote:Arcades mainly exist on boardwalks at beaches these days in the US. I think what killed arcade machines was console Graphics, Game play, and Story. Though Super Nintendo's era sort of did co-exist with arcade machines, when PS2 came out it was just mind boggling, and more or less put the nail in the coffin. I was born in the 90's, and I think N64, and Ps1 were my first consoles, that immediately killed any desire for me wanting to play an arcade PAC-MAN, though If I had a real Arcade PAC-MAN machine, I'd probably play it, but would get bored very fast, like those old Pin-ball machines.Chuquita wrote:Oxford Valley Mall in PA used to have this big arcade called Kahunaville--food wasn't great, but so many arcade games; it's gone now, replaced by a Forever 21Xeztin wrote:Very true, which sucksHellspawn28 wrote:Arcades mainly exist on boardwalks at beaches these days in the US. There's still a tiny arcade inside the Neshaminy Mall (also PA) called Time Out, but I only recently discovered it and didn't bother to play because you needed to buy tokens and couldn't just use quarters. Shame arcades and PC gaming couldn't co-exist. Before my time I've heard there used to be two arcades close to where I live (one is now an empty storefront and the other's been replaced with a clothing store) ; if they'd been around when I was a kid I probably would've been there often.

No way would Dragon Ball Heroes ever come to the US. Dragon Ball games already have a niche audience and a game like Dragon Ball Heroes would have an immensely Audience Alienating Premise, even by Dragon Ball's standards. And not that many people would buy the game. Seriously, how could even advertise a game like Dragon Ball Heroes in the US without prior knowledge of the data carddass system?

"You guys remember Tenkaichi 3? Well this one has more characters". I would be fine with the next installment of Ultimate Mission actually.Lord Beerus wrote:Seriously, how could even advertise a game like Dragon Ball Heroes in the US without prior knowledge of the data carddass system?

This is why I don't have interest in playing DBH. It treats the cast like they're pokémon or yugioh monster cards and I dislike that.Lord Beerus wrote:No way would Dragon Ball Heroes ever come to the US. We could hope that the fantasy forms and fusions from Heroes could be in Xenoverse 2 if they go with the different story path ideas. I still love to play as Bebi Janemba one day.

Unless Xenoverse 2 gravitates towards an RPG than a fighting game (more than the first one anyway), that would be an amazing way to kill my interest right off the bat.Hellspawn28 wrote:We could hope that the fantasy forms and fusions from Heroes could be in Xenoverse 2 if they go with the different story path ideas. I don't think so. It probably wouldn't sell too well over here. I could almost see them localizing the Ultimate Mission games, but I still don't think it's very likely.
