Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
How about future bra, oob or pan that is more of the better idea than future trunks.
The question has been asked by you 10000000000 times and we have become very efficient.
I don't care about non canon stuffs like game, guide book, movie, etc
Spare the trouble because GT is CANON
Be quick and be done with it

If Bra is anything like she is in EoZ or GT, that character shouldn't exist.

Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
None of those characters make any sense in that timeline since Gohan and Vegeta are dead in the future timeline, and Buu was never revived and killed.GTX wrote:How about future bra, oob or pan that is more of the better idea than future trunks.
What is wrong with Bra in EoZ? I don't recall her doing anything objectionable, or much of anything other than cheer people on.If Bra is anything like she is in EoZ or GT, that character shouldn't exist.

No. How about focusing in develop Present Trunks.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

He has no reason to return. It would be pure fan service if he does.
Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
super saiyan god trunks, then super saiyan blue trunks...nuff said ^^
edit;I'm sure trunks would have no problems in his time line if he did the saiyan ritual and got ssj blue form ^^.

Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
When I first saw him leave for good waaaaay back when, I did want to see him come back, but now...now I'm ok with him staying where he is in his alternate timeline. We get so much Future Trunks through Xenoverse and before that DBO, so it doesn't feel like he's been gone gone to me, really.
On hiatus.

I don't like her design. She's a Bulma clone who looks older than Pan.irreality wrote:What is wrong with Bra in EoZ? I don't recall her doing anything objectionable, or much of anything other than cheer people on.
But that aside, she seemed to me a tad pointless in general. I just can't see them doing anything worthwhile with her personality.

Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
That's fair: I think both Bra and Pan look super cute in EoZ. I just need pan and bra to be cute, I think. I'm not a huge fan of little kids as main characters. As much as I think Trunks and Goten are adorable and like them as background characters, I find them really annoying whenever they take center stage.

Just as Sandubadear said, while I really like the character and would love to see him appear again, his story is complete and he really shouldn't.

Yes, I hope he does come back, ore at least show him in the Future.
Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
Future Trunks is one of my favourite characters in the whole series, i would love to see him back again, but i don't trust TOEI or Akira Toriyama to do it right. With the way Super is going, they would probably mess it up.
Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
No, the character has completed it's cycle. It wouldn't add anything to the current series. Even a simple cameo would be bad, he's from a different timeline.

"Future Trunks doesn't need to return, his story is done, and it would have been just fan-service for him to return".
Isn't this the case for the whole franchise ever since the manga & DBZ ended?! GT, the Kanzenban & Full Color manga, the video-games, Kai, the new OVAs & movies, Super, everything so far was needless, and more & more keep coming and will still be needless. So with all that considered, I wouldn't have a problem to see Future Trunks back in Super, but I doubt he will return. His story is already continuing in video-games like XenoVerse & Heroes.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
Not really. Trunks had a clear purpose: save our timeline, hoping to find a way to save his own, which he did. There's no reason for him to return. Every new story, some more than others are just that, new stories. Bringing some former villains back is, in some cases, unnecessary stretching. But in general everything else is something new, with new consequences and impact for the characters.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:"Future Trunks doesn't need to return, his story is done, and it would have been just fan-service for him to return".

Bringing Freeza back, for example is almost in the same category of Future Trunks. Although there's more to it, since it can be used to expand his Empire and open the Universe.

Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
This is similar to how they're bringing River Song back to Doctor Who this Christmas (something I really don't think they should do). I'm not trying to tread off-topic, I just thought it was an interesting similarity.

Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
I would have been happy with Future Trunks returning had the Buu arc been handled differently, but Toriyama was determined to make it about Goku and Vegeta. After the Cell arc, all stories should have centered around Gohan and Trunks, either in their respective timelines or crossing over to work together. The conclusion to Future Trunks' arc as a character is perfect, and yet there was still potential for more. Gohan was Future Trunks' master in his timeline, and yet his interactions with the Gohan of the past aren't nearly as fleshed out. How cool would it have been for there to be a complete role reversal, Future Trunks acting as a master to Gohan in the main timeline?
Future Trunks has no place in current Dragon Ball stories that I can think of, that ship sailed long ago.

This is the episode of when Gokuh enrages himself after Freezer talk shit about Kuririn
Re: Would you like Future Trunks to return in DBS?
I don't know how much he can add to the overall story or his own characterization, but a cameo of some sorts would probably rock my world in the best way possible. Probably not to many relevant people for him to fight though.

I wouldn't mind Trunks visiting but only briefly and only as a member of Time Patrol.
