Frieza memory loss?
How come Frieza in RoF didn't knew about Majin Buu's defeat from Goku and other basic events that happened during DBZ, as shown in the movie after he got healed and came out of the healing capsule, when in DBZ he was watching Goku's and Kid Buu's fight along with every other villain from hell through a giant crystal sphere?
In RoF after his ressurection, it seemed like his memory had stopped after his death in the hands of Trunks. It looks like Toei forgot the fact that Frieza in DBZ had interactions with other stronger characters in hell like Cell and Pikkon, yet in RoF they made Frieza act like he is the best fighter besides Buu, Beerus, Goku and Trunks.

Re: Freeza memory loss?
Because that's filler material created only for the anime and which wasn't present in the original story. According to Resurrection F, which had closer involvement from Toriyama, the last thing he'd remember before ending up in (Earth's) Hell is Trunks' sword bearing down on him.ATEMVEGETA wrote:How come Freeza in RoF didn't knew about Majin Buu's defeat from Goku and other basic events that happened during DBZ, as shown in the movie after he got healed and came out of the healing capsule, when in DBZ he was watching Goku's and Kid Buu's fight along with every other villain from hell through a giant crystal sphere?

Re: Freeza memory loss?
Ah, that explains everything then. Thank you!
Re: Freeza memory loss?
Its too bad, I like the fact that Freeza and Cell met in Hell. They made a good team.
Re: Freeza memory loss?
I'm sure freeza was informed by sorbet that goku defeated majin buu, hence why he trained so hard.

Re: Freeza memory loss?
No, it's not memory loss. Given the continuity that Revival of F exists in, those events (Freeza being in hell alongside Cell, the fight against Paikuhan, watching Goku's fight with Buu, etc) never transpired, so there's nothing for him to have forgotten.BrolyLSSJ wrote:Memory lost like you stated.....
Re: Freeza memory loss?
It's a different Hell that we see in FnF than the filler Hell we see in the anime. Most of the Hell we see in DBZ was a product of Toei, which left Toriyama free to do his own thing with it, so to speak, when this movie came around.

Re: Freeza memory loss?
Well it was established that nobody keeps their bodies when dying except exceptionally good people. Freeza doesn't qualify, so it kind of contradicts one of the earliest things established by Dragon Ball Z. Also, where Freeza was chilling with Cell and the Ginyu Special Corps., that whole thing is impossible. Why? How did the Ginyu Special Corps. make it there when Kuririn couldn't based on him dying on Namek?
Yeah, it's filler material, but also, that whole Hell that was thought up for Resurrection "F" kind of sucks.Between Freeza being half robotic and even keeping his body in the first place, that whole thing isn't really good.

Cpt. Gineu was in hell along with Frieza and pals as well, yet he was frog-alive in Super! A lot of contradictions with the anime of Z. I didn't watched KAI though, but I believe, since Super is a continuation of KAI rather than Z, those contradictions don't happen between them.

Anything with Freeza's body in Hell was filler. His body is never shown in Hell in either the manga or the new movie.

Commander Ginyu wasn't shown in hell in Z. He was a frog on Earth. Kai also shows hell scenes.ATEMVEGETA wrote:Cpt.
