No it doesn't. All Toriyama that is contributing to Super is the basic outline of the plot and characters designs of the Universe 6 arc, as far as we know.

Neither your data or Kanzenshuu's say. What difference does it make in statistics that represent the same group (Japan)?

Comparing the first 20 episodes of each series, a better anime than DB and GT so far.
DBZ beginning is unbeatable though. Saiyan arc is still the best arc ever.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

The Saiyans arrived on Earth on episode 21, the 20 episodes prior consisted mostly of garbo filler, I would still say Super is better. However Kai is a different story.

The music is shit and I am spoiled by the BoG movie, but overall, it's better than GT for me and I do enjoy my Sunday morning sequel of my favorite series.
But I seriously can't get over that music! Even Saint Seiya spin-off has better music!

each region may have diferent taste.
Some region may have very low DB fans at some spesific region may have very high watchers.
So comparing it would be wrong.
Of course in the end the the one cover whole japan is the one that is the most valid.
Of course many other external factors can also affect it.
The question has been asked by you 10000000000 times and we have become very efficient.
I don't care about non canon stuffs like game, guide book, movie, etc
Spare the trouble because GT is CANON

I've become very disillusioned with Super, lately. It's not a good feeling. Rewatching Kai's first outing certainly hasn't helped matters. The difference in quality is quite large. I don't mean in terms of animation, either; the lows and highs are pretty much the same in that regard. It's the other components that are really starting to get to me.

Sumitomo's score is unbearably bland. It really does nothing to accent the action on screen. Music is such a huge part of Dragon Ball for me, and his work is really killing my enjoyment. Kikuchi is, of course, the definitive sound of the show, but that's never made me shy away from other composers. Plagiarism aside, Yamamoto's score was very rarely off the mark, and did a great job of breathing new life into the show. Takaki, with only minimal involvement in the franchise, managed to produce some incredible music that was very blatant in paying homage to Kikuchi. Sumitomo just hasn't stepped up and produced anything that gives me the feeling that any of the other composers have managed. It's deeply upsetting.

The new sound effects, while perhaps not a big deal to some, have definitely started to get to me. They're such a tiny detail, but they make a world of difference in establishing the overall tone of the show. Can you imagine Star Wars without its trademark sound design? The blasters, the explosions, the sound of the lightsabers. It would totally throw you off. I know it's throwing me off in Super! The auras, the punches, the footsteps, the beams. It sounds so wrong. It's not just different, it's worse. It lacks the power that the original effects had. I've still yet to wrap my head around the change.

But really, the biggest thing for me is the direction and the writing. I don't feel fully engaged in the narrative. It's easy to pass that off as "Oh, but you've seen the films, so of course you wouldn't be", but the thing is, I can go back and watch the older series being fully aware of everything that's going happen, and still feel tense. Super's direction is unbelievably weak. There have been only a few moments where I've been glued to the screen, but they were fleeting and few and far between. It's a little disappointing, especially when I think about just how well it handles its comedic moments, and more recently, the training exercises.

In 19 episodes, we've had how many Kamehamehas? How many power-ups? How many endless flurries of punches? It's just not very well written. You're supposed to accent fights with big moves and impressive setpieces. You can't repeat the same formula over and over again and expect it to turn out okay. That's just not how any of this works. Think back to Goku vs Piccolo Daimao! You remember the chest piercing. Think back to Namek, and you'll remember Goku bursting out of the water to deliver a Kaioken Kamehameha. There are just so many examples of well-directed action that are sorely missing from Super so far. It's even more baffling considering the movies had those moments in them just fine. How can the show be so good at comedy, but so bad at action?

I'm just finding the series so frustrating now. All of the initial excitement around a new series has kinda worn off now, and I'm left focusing on what the show really is. It's a far step above GT, but I'm really worried about its future. Universe 6 certainly sounds interesting, but its not the story content I'm worried about. It's everything else that is required to actually tell the story that's terrifying me. Will I really be able to get over all of that? I hope so. Part of me wants to pretend they're going to put real effort into the new arc, but I know that's not true.

That may all be true, but it's the data we have. And any flaws in the data could just as well lower GT's numbers and raise Super's, so there nothing to gain by poking theoretical holes.

That's a really good observation, and I think that's what makes the remakes harder to watch. It's tough to watch a scene that was really nailed in the BoG movie, only to watch the B movie version of it again. I suppose the silver lining to this, for some, is if they really didn't like how BoG or RoF were handled, Super is giving these stories another shot.

With the last few episodes I'd say its enjoyable mediocrity but Super F might sway me back to the "its total shit" camp.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Super is not good at comedy.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

I honestly can't give an actual judgement until we get into new material. As of what I think of the retelling so far and the few new content, it's pretty good so far. But god damn it, I've been wondering from the beginning that if I had never seen Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F' would I be loving the shit out of this series? I really don't like the idea of retelling the movies because I know that Super will be inferior to them.

Animation is average most of the time. Some episodes look great while others look outright bad. The soundtrack is good but the placement can be ass sometimes and there just aren't enough heart-racing tracks. Sumitomo is great at making intense orchestrated pieces and I want to see him do more of that in Super. The fights are good for the most part and Episode 11 includes a really exciting battle, Episode 14's action was almost as good.

The saving grace of this series, the thing that is absolutely fantastic are the characters and their interactions. I'm loving everyone in Dragon Ball Super. This is also the funniest out of all the Dragon Ball series. It's actually funny stuff and isn't just perverted humour like in the early Dragon Ball days and I'm adoring it.

I am really enjoying this series... but I just wish more effort was put into certain areas. I would love to see some great animation during the action sequences, we've only gotten little bits of that in Super:

More of this would be awesome. The Resurrection 'F' arc has a lot of action so hopefully we see some really nice animation during its fights.

I'm still super excited for what's to come in this series after the retelling. I hope you're writing something glorious, Toriyama.

Faults aside, I think its been great so far. the non-movie episodes have been very enjoyable, the BoG retelling has kinda dragged but that's only due to extending a 2 hour movie to 14 episodes if it hadn't been seen already i would have enjoyed it as much as the rest. i haven't had any real issues with the animation due to going into this not expecting OVA or movie quality. the music has its ups but has majorly been just bland. i was expecting better from Sutimoto thinking he would have a bigger budget than Kai (my only real issue with his Kai score was its placement) but oh well. hopefully the U6 arc will change some peoples opinions of super when it's done with its retellings.

But all those examples of extreme and very enjoyable moments took place way after the tone of the series was established. The Piccolo-Goku ending was done way in into the original DB. In fact, DBZ Started not that long after the Piccolo-Majunia Saga, and the same goes for Namek. There were a considerable amount of episodes already done. And After the Saiyan Saga, the tone was changing and adapting.

Super as we know is setting its own tone, and it's true, we may have to wait till the new arch after F begins to actually judge the thing. Super can't do what BOG and F did, they can try but the budget and time is not the same I assume.

There are no substantial Super episodes yet enough to make the comparison between all the shows. That Includes GT as well. Let's wait till the show does their own thing, which we all know it's coming.

GT was pretty tame and childish too. GT was always consider to be the tamest and lightest show out of the three DB shows. Bebi, Super 17 and Shadow Dragon saga did had their dark moments, but they never came off as serious as the Saiyan or Cell saga did. The first half of GT was pretty goofy and had campy stuff in it during the Black Star Dragon Ball hunt. Even almost all of the Shadow Dragons expect for Yi Xing Long, San Xing Long and Si Xing Long are pretty goofy and childish looking for them to be taken seriously. Even the Earth got destroyed in GT from the Black Star Dragon Balls, they just wish the Earth back. So it's not like the series was in any real danger when they went out in space.

For me it is a bit of a disappointment. I was expecting new original stories moving the series forward, but all I got was just the TV version of the two movies and no original stories made beyond the filler episodes. But I'll stick to the hope of some payoff to come when Resurrection F's portion ends. I don't think Super will end with just 26 episodes.

Some of the Concepts of GT were Childish I agree (Some of the Shadow Dragons for example). But in DBZ the earth was destroyed and then just brought back. On GT, If it wasn't for the Tsufuru planet, the earth blowing up would have kill everyone. The shadow Dragons Saga is the most Darkest aura the show ever got (including DB And Z). The Shadow Dragons Saga Did what the other two shows couldn't do and that was: Killing Goku for good and remove the Dragon Balls forever (100 years...well, 102).

As to Super, it's not that Childish neither. And I have the feeling Super is going to get darker after F.
