Vegeta's the one who disregards Gohan's clear will to not battle for sport or unless absolutely necessary and it's Gokuu, the one trying to avoid trampling on Gohan's feelings, who is the asshole?

I can't remember if that was stated in the similar rules from the Budokai or not. I'd actually be kind of surprised if it were, actually, though...I mean, for fun or not, it is a tournament hosted between two different Gods of Destruction...hmm.

So wait, are there super dragon balls in BOTH universe 6 and universe 7, or did Champa just collect six of them from universe 7?

Side thoughts:
- I was right about the super dragon balls being planet-sized. Ha.
- Toriyama continues to show how much he regrets ever giving Gohan any spotlight.
- I should reserve my opinion on this until he's revealed, but I find it incredibly stupid that there's another character in universe 7 stronger than Goku. There better be a good explanation for this being's powers. Watch it be a cartoonish-looking character. My head canon imagines it being Saitama...
- Buu and Piccolo are going to get wrecked.

You can't say Gohan has the most potential out of everyone, but decide he's better off at home to change diapers and writing books when the universe needs him most. FUCKING BULLSHIT!

Why are you people so enthralled with Gohan? He was never that great of a character nor was he much of a fighter. Why continue to whine about this when his characterisation has been set in stone since he first showed up? Who the heck whines about a character not being a brawler type?
He isn't needed. There isn't one negative consequence of this tournament. It's there for those who want to participate. Gohan only fights when necessary. Even when he does fight he accomplishes nothing so what's the point? He has a job, a wife. and a kid. Leave him be.

I love Gohan and Gotenks, but the former only fights out of obligation, and the latter is a dumbass. Worst case scenario, they're available to protect Earth in case of yet another invasion.

This brought me a question: If someone brought all the 7 Earth DB to another planet, then Earth is blow up, he could still summon Shenron?

I would think so, yes. After all, the Namekian balls were used on Earth after Namek blew up. As long as the balls are intact and the creator (Dende) is still alive, it should be fine.

I would rather have 18 on Team Beerus than a new character, but I say that not knowing what the sixth ranger will be like. For all I know I could end up liking the sixth ranger.

I'd rather have 18 in place of Buu, I can 100% say that.

Artificial Human #18 doesn't fight for sport, she fights for money. There's no real prize to be won here, so she doesn't care. This tournament is nothing more than a glorified dick-measuring contest and #18 is too mature to indulge in that sort of thing.

So is it safe to say Super is going to sideline 90% of the older cast again? I guess the Freeza movie was the last hurrah for the cast then.

Gohan, Trunks, Goten (and Gotenks), Krillin, Tien, Android 18, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Mr, Satan all aren't going to do anything in Super then from this point onward.

The only reason Bulma is kept around is because she's likely one of Toriyama's favorite characters still.

I'm conflicted between if I'd rather have 18 or Boo, actually. Both are definitely in need of getting to fight on the side of good a bit more (18 got ripped off never having that chance in the Boo arc), it's almost a rite of passage for a previous villain character when they become good. That said though, 18, like Gohan, doesn't really have a reason to fight in this tournament. Boo's reason will likely be something along the lines of thinking that Earth being moved will result in him not getting food anymore, or...something.

As cool as Vados possibly being stronger than Whis, and therefore everyone else we've seen right now, is, I wouldn't mind at all if our new mysterious fighter is a woman. Seeing Goku and Vegeta get shown up by a woman could be pretty fun, especially Vegeta...though, I hope that if we do get another female fighter, she's not designated to only fighting against Vados or a female member of Champa's team, or something.
