More Saiyans is bad. Toriyama knows nothing about Broly or Tullece, right?

Toriyama did the character design for Broly, so he might remember him a bit.

Toriyama's on record as saying he doesn't consider Goku to be that much of a "good guy" at the end of the day, so he wouldn't necessarily jump to evil!Goku as his U6 counterpart. Heck, he might even have the U6 Saiyan(s) be Superman-style do-gooders and contrast them with Goku and Vegeta that way.

A "good" Gokû would be an unintentional commentary on the old Season 3 Funi dub of yore. "Ally to good nightmare to you."

Anyway, I think Toriyama has made the perfect choices with the characters in universe 7's team. Goku and Vegeta are a given. Piccolo has a motive to fight, he's from a different race and has a lot of different abilities and techniques that he can show off in this more hand-to-hand tournament format. Boo is currently the strongest after Goku and Vegeta, so he's a great choice too, especially due to how he has RIDICULOUS potential in terms of power-ups, abilities and character development. Gohan and Gotenks would have been bad choices due to fusion's unpredictability and Gotenks' irresponsibility, and because Gohan isn't the type of character who would fight for fun. And anyone else is weaker than Piccolo and Boo, so they wouldn't be good choices either.

I think it would be two saiyajins in champa's team who are going to be defeated easily. Or it could be gohan who never became a scholar. Or maybe vados would just be like they are too weak or the planet is destroyed in their universe too bla bla bla. These are all my theories.

Goku/Vegeta/Piccolo/Buu/New Guy is basically the best case scenario as far as the Universe 7 team goes. Glad to see it's not just "All Saiyans, All The Time."

As far as universe 6 Saiyan possibilities, maybe some sort of "never moved past the 'primitive caveman space-pirate' stage" sort of thing would be more interesting than "hey, here's some Freeza-era evil Saiyans, except they're super strong rather than so weak they'd still have power levels in the sub-millions range even if they suddenly got Super Saiyan 2." Make them different from Universe 7's Saiyans while still having the basic traits of "Saiyan-ness" like near-death boosts, transformations, and spiky hair.

If they must do "alternate Goku/Vegeta" I'd honestly rather see something along the lines of gender-swaps, or better yet, some really drastic change (like Caveman Space Pirate Goku or something... heck, maybe even have alternate-Goku and alternate-Vegeta come from completely different Saiyan societies -- we've already had hints that Universe 7's Saiyans weren't originally from Planet Plant/Vegeta, so Universe 6 should have its own "real Saiyan homeworld" which opens up two Saiyan societies as a possibility even if Earth isn't populated -- and Goku could be full-on Journey to the West-ish Chinese mythology themed while Vegeta's something else entirely) than just plain "evil Goku/evil Vegeta."

"Evil Goku" is basically Tullece, or something like pre-head-injury Goku. "Evil Vegeta" would be especially silly since we already had Evil Vegeta -- it was called "just plain Vegeta," back in the day before he settled down on Earth and shifted away from his previous ways. And also, briefly, Majin Vegeta. So... it'd be kinda boring. (I thought "let's bring back Freeza!" was kinda boring too for the same reasons, but at least they mixed it up a little by having Freeza lose the fight, but end up blowing up the planet, and then Whis having to step in and fix Goku/Vegeta's mistakes so they can finish Freeza off this time.)

Alternate Gohan or something could be a bit more interesting, but seems unlikely since Universe 6's Earth is no longer populated due to a war. I wouldn't call "one or two Saiyan invaders wipe out a whole planet" a war, so that wording kinda implies Universe 6 Earth's population killed themselves off rather than Saiyans or someone else doing it for them.

Even Alternate Raditz and Nappa or something would be a big step up... we'd finally get to see Super Saiyan Mustache and whatever craziness happens to Raditz's already-SSj3-like hair when he goes Super Saiyan! XD

There's nothing wrong with having Saiyans in Universe 6. There's nothing even wrong with having powerful Saiyans in Universe 6. But it is incredibly lazy. Instead of introducing new alien species, it's implying they're just going to have more Saiyans. And if we actually get something like Evil!Goku, I am going to be very annoyed. Because that's the laziest idea for a villain you could ever do.

It could be a good idea if it's utilised well. I'm more frustrated that this is going to fuel a month of nothing but Evil Goku discussions.

Good to see, that my impression of Champa and Beerus' relationship was on point. Champa really does seem like he has an inferiority complex in regards to Beerus, who seems not to take Champa so seriously and always keeps his cool around him.
It makes sense, that Champa would go through so much trouble to collect the Super DBs just to finally show Beerus, that he is not to be ignored or something. He must have been collecting them for some reason and it seems likely, that the balls he is putting on the table is the U6 ones, while he is keeping it a secret from them, that he has been collecting U7's set.
Maybe he wants to destroy the entirety of U7 just to show up Beerus in a kind of brotherly struggle taken too far?

And another hint that Whis might not be from the seventh Universe. Maybe all attendants to GoDs come from some reality outside the universes? A Super Universe perhaps

They never said the Saiyans are alternate versions of Universe 7 Saiyans though, and Universe 6 isn't an "alternate universe" as far as we know, it's a separate universe that shares the same planets, but is different enough that Earth is devoid of life thanks to war. Until they show or say something otherwise I don't think there is any reason think right now that there will be alternate universe versions of existing Dragon Ball characters. We might get characters that are somewhat similar to existing characters, but there isn't much reason to think it will go much more beyond that.

Goku did mention that the normal dragon balls are on namek. Maybe Champa will go there to collect them and ask about ssj god? Maybe like Beerus, Champa had also a dream. Not necessary ssj god but someting in that range

At first Champa thought Goku and Vegeta were weak then he says we need some saiyans makes me think that he may have encountered a super saiyan goddesses(Yes that was on purpose) and isn't taking any chances.

While I would enjoy female Goku just give me a fenale super saiyan and maybe throw the broly fans a bone and give them Broly with a personality.

Oh yeah, after seeing how long it took Vegeta too get used to the god stuff without the ritual months had passed. I can't see Vados being that much better than Whis at training so the Saiyans will probably already need to have become a SSJG or avhieved a special form or something.

Freeza and Buu, maybe. Cell most likely does not exist if humans kill themselves and destroy everything on Earth. We don't know if Goku exist in U6 or not. Cell was created because of Goku since Dr. Gero wanted to kill Goku for destroying the RR Army.
