When the human race dies out in millions of years and the next species evolves into the next dominant race then you could be around to tech them on how to be a good advance species and not repeat the same mistakes that the human race did.

And then those would also die out, and so on, until everything and everyone in the universe, including the stars, were lifeless and gone, and you, the immortal guy, would be alone in the dark, forever, unable to die.
