Am I only one finding it very meta, that we might be getting the climax of the Ressurection Freeza arc so close to Christmas like during the series original run in Jump and as established to be the case in-universe by guidebooks since then?

I haven't checked if someone made a thread about what people think the V-Jump December announcement is but I'm just going to give out my predictions:
*Universe 6/Super Dragon Ball movie.
*Dragon Box Blu-rays (Next year will be the 30th anniversary of the anime).
*New Dragon Ball fighting game (Xenoverse 2?).
*Anime adaptation of Jaco or maybe an animated version of Dragon Ball Minus at Jump Festa.
Also, it may not have anything to do with Dragon Ball but at the end of The One Piece Winter Special which is December 19th, there is going to be a special announcement. It could just be more info about the upcoming movie One Piece Movie but you never know.

I don't think they'll announce a movie adaption till the arc is finished in Super so maybe in July like the last 2 movies.

If it's anything related to the original DB then hopefully it's a Kai version.

This is the most likely thing it'll be so hopefully it's XV2 and not BOZ2.

I don't think they'd call that a big announcement.

It was announced as a DB related announcement.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

A Kai version of DB would be cool. When I mentioned a 30th anniversary of the anime, I was referring to the anime franchise. They would gradually release everything DB through DBGT and the movies.

Agreed. Original DB didn't had many fillers as DBZ, I would pretty much enjoy watching this series in Kai format.

I rather have Toei blu-rays come out first since Funimation could just import those in the near future.

I'd love for something like a Blu-Ray version of the Dragon Box sets. That would amazing.

I think there is a chance Champa and/or Vados trained Freeza, maybe with or without Tagoma, and we'll see that flashback during the Universe 6 arc.
Tim Duncan is dope and forever.

Well, I like this theory... It's plausible to think that Freeza trained by himself but realized it was not enough to defeat the Saiyans, so Champa/Vados trained him and he become even more stronger and achieved his Golden Form.

But who I am kidding? Like they give a F*** to elaborate a detailed explanation of how Freeza jumped to a untrained SSJ-tier to a GOD-tier

Why would Champa put his plans on hiatus to train Freeza? How would that make sense?
Besides, the Gods of Destruction aren't masters as far as we know, so it should be Vados.

I'm still not losing hope for them to show Freeza's training, they could just show it in flashback when Gohan fights Tagoma.

They wanted to get around while Beerus was distracted in the manga. If they trained Freeza here, it could be a matter of them creating a distraction. I don't think that's going to happen at this point though.

But how would he know Freeza would distract Beerus? As much as he trained him, Freeza would still be no match for Beerus, who could get rid of him in an instant. So Champa would have to learn everything about Goku, the fact he's being trained by Whis, Earth, their relationship with Freeza, etc to think of that.

Not only that but Beerus is asleep. That's distraction enough. Helping train Freeza would be opposite of distraction as Beerus would now be active.

Can't say with complete certainty, but ScholarGohan sent me this. It seems that Episode 5 hasn't been fixed for the home release. Brief summary of the Korean at the top of the page, the post or email response is Japanese though, so can't help there.
  • You can't ask Toei anything on their website unless you join, so I did.
Was curious and asked if they would be fixing Episode 5 for the blu-ray home release.
Toei responded with "We didn't really have any plans to fix it".
    Japan subtitles are impossible.
So it's not worth buying the set. lol
Direct translations of the Korean DB Online timeline and guidebook.
My personal "canon" and BP list. (Coming Soon)

Wow. I know Toei's standards have nosedived over the years, but I am speechless. Sailor Moon Crystal got a much improved home video release, but not Dragon Ball?.

Shame on you, Toei. If they are struggling for cash, get a kickstarter going to fix it. I'll donate. I doubt they'll plan to fix it at all now, if they won't do it for their release, we've got no chance for any releases in the west.

Super is made to sell merchandise so it's not surprising they're not giving much attention to the home release which from what I read don't sell that much to begin with in Japan.

Does Toei even answer this kind of question through a website? And to a random Korean person?
I'da rather wait and see, it's not long now.

Home releases of long running shows really have poor sales in Japan, and no one cares, as that's not their primary goal, but still, i think they need to fix it for overseas markets, or else it's a very poor decision.
Unless they're planning to eventually do it for foreign broadcasts but there was not time/interest enough to do it now.
