Are Goku and Vegeta equal again?

Ny friends and I were discussing this trying to figure out what the deal was. It doesn't seem like there is anything concrete on how strong one or the other is, but it would seem that since Vegeta has reached Super Saiyan Blue he's back on a level playing field with Goku. Is there anything official that has been put out on this that I'm missing or is it all just speculation at this point?

Fairly so, I would say. After training for 6 months, Vegeta seemed about equal in strength to Goku when lifting the weights: he might have lifted it a bit earlier, but they moved at the same pace. Now, training together 4 months later, it seems like Goku and Vegeta have different weaknesses (Vegeta is a bit slower in his reactions but more strategic/cautious than Goku, maybe?), but still fairly comparable in strength: them getting ripples of SSB power happened in the same punch for both of them.

I remember Whis mentioning the weaknesses of Goku and Vegeta that you stated in the movie. I guess there's no way to really tell. I think it's great that Vegeta is finally getting his dues though.

I seem to recall in RF Whis telling Vegeta, at one point, that "blah blah blah, this is why you're always one step behind Goku, blah blah blah." That would seem to indicate that Goku is still a bit ahead.

Goku and vegeta were never ever equals.

Currently though power wise they r dead even.But they do have differences.namely goku letting his guard down allot,which compared to vegeta's problem(overthinking to much) is a much bigger issue.

So if vegeta really really wanted to kill goku now,he could exploit goku's weakness and hit him hard when his guard is down.Ofc if goku wanted to also kill vegeta badly then id say he's little edge in reaction time could give him a win.

but tbh,that is impossible to tell since its fiction.So basically IMO currently they'd ko each other and take a nap ^^

I guess I meant more in the same general area than equal. I was thinking of when they fought on Earth the first time as the last time that they were near each other in strength although Vegeta was probably stronger at that point.

Most likely Goku will surpass Vegeta again as Super progresses.

As far as Ressurection F goes, yeah they are equals. But it'll only be a matter of time before Goku surpasses Vegeta... again. It's just pretty much the natural order of Dragon Ball for Goku to always one step ahead.

Whis stated that Goku is always one step ahead of Vegeta. So Goku is still ahead of Vegeta, but I would say it's only slightly.

From what I can tell, Goku and Vegeta are as equal as can be while stilk keeping Goku slightly ahead for the purposes of the story. I imagine it as a slight edge, as of right now.

Ehhh I dunno if Vegeta is as strong as a SSJG yet. Maybe in their base forms they're equal though.
