Realization about 'Attack of the Saiyans' Soundtrack

Post by TheXenoverse » Sat Nov 28, 2015 9:57 pm

I'm not sure if this is common knowledge in the community, but Attack of the Saiyans (the underrated DS RPG that covers the Saiyan saga) remixes many of the track from the Dragonball NES game that was localized as 'Dragon Power'.

For example:

Dragonpower: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zz5cs5gEVro Level theme

Attack of the Saiyans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-Oj72zfLsY Boss theme

Dragonpower: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tk78gqJ ... io&index=4 battle theme

Attack of the Saiyans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN8H1UexwCA Start theme

These are just two examples that stood out to me.

This is actually quite fascinating to me, going back so far into dragonball game historyand using an old soundtrack for a new game. While I'm aware many other developers do this, its a cool little tidbit.

Are you guys aware of any other games 'Attack of the Saiyans' may have derived its soundtrack from?

Well, it's not actually taken from Dragon Power, it's taken from the original game, Dragon Ball: Shenlong no Nazo. It's still kind of weird that they would take music from an old game like that, though.
