Definitely, that original broadcast version will become a relic. The first Hajime no Ippo series had a similar incident with a tv episode that is almost impossible to find these days..even though the American box had a print that included the tv version by mistake (does anyone remember that?).

I won't say it'll become a relic. It's all over the internet now. It's not the 90s or the early 00s where this would eventually be forgotten once the BD came out.

Sadly I don't think it'll go away completely either. I mean, we're still dealing with Bills, after all. There'll no doubt be at least a small portion of fans that will practically ignore that it was fixed, if only to continue to use it against Super as a whole.

If you do a Google Image search for 'Dragonball Super' I guess the scope of the problem is clear. The top results are littered full of lurid fan-art and unflattering screengrabs from the broadcast.

Toei have made a total branding misstep with their wariness and obliviousness to the overseas demographic which consumes the show whether they provide a legitimate avenue for such fans to do so or not.

I meant in the sense that it's likely something that will never be able to be purchased in any form of physical media. Give it like 10 years and raws and fansubs won't be that easy to find, as tv downloads tend to be replaced for the superior version over time.

Have they redrawn the Z flashbacks?

Very impressed.
Whoaa they really fixed all episode 5 bad shots. Still not a "perfect" animation but I can the see the difference. Thank you Toei!. Now I can finally leave the pathetic TV version behind.
I wonder if they fixed some errors in other episodes, or episode 5 just got special treatmenet because of all the polemic.

Anyway, I'm glad. :D
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Was there anything in the other episodes that really stood out like ep5 ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Episode 9 had some moments that really stood out too. I hope they got fixed too. Other than that I am pretty happy :)

I'm very happy with these corrections, but I wonder if they changed more stuff like the BGM placement and sound effects? guess I'll check that out when I receive my Blu-Ray

Thank you Ajay for the images!
Wow, animators really like the motion blur
I can say that I fell in love with some of them. I guess this will be the version other countries will air, It won't be cool if they do the opposite.

I only know that resolution in blu ray is 1080p, which is higher than the tv version which is 720p.

I'm trying to get used to the announcements/new material dates throughout Super's run. Check if I'm right, please:

Sometime around the 20th we get a new manga chapter
Sometime around the 7th we get new episode titles

Am I correct?

That's correct. Manga chapter spoilers have come as early as the 16th, but the 20th is the better bet.

Evening lads,

I've asked this before but never seen anyone's thoughts on this. **spoiler if you haven't read Manga chapter 6**. I was imagining a scenario where 2 of Champa Sama's team are Saiyan females. One that resembles Chichi and the other Bulma. I thought it'd be interesting, especially after that bit about strong willed women and that Champa was thinking of getting Saiyans too.
