Feel free to take this with a grain of salt, but I found this interesting and thought I'd share with you all. The following images come from the Japanese magazine Animage from the April 1987 issue:

As you can see in the images, Animage gives Goku and Yamcha a Libra zodiac sign, with Yamcha having an A blood type and Goku having a B blood type. Bulma is given a Sagittarius zodiac sign with an A blood type.

Considering Goku is an alien and his blood would not be the same type as humans, that was probably just randomly made.

Since the Japanese consider blood type to be an indicator of personality, it's often included alongside information such as zodiac signs since both of those together would supposedly give you a good idea of someone's character. So that's why it's not really surprising that the listings contain alien and animal-looking creatures, since they're basing their judgements on the way they act.

It's said to be a "fortune telling" thing, so maybe the character who matches your blood type and zodiac sign is the one you're most similar to? It's pretty fascinating, actually. Though I don't know which fabulous 80s lady I'd be since I don't know my blood type :P (the options for me would be Julia, B-ko, or two characters I don't know. And if I were male I could be Lupin?! Sweet! Or Ataru...eh)

That contradicts the information we were given back in a 1986 issue of Jump (speculated to be from Toriyama himself by Julian/SaiyaJedi).

Birthday: None given.
Blood Type: None given.

Bluma
Birthday: August 18th (making her a Leo)
Blood Type: B

Yamcha
Birthday: March 20th (Making him a Pisces)
Blood Type: O
