You think Beerus might become a good guy later on?

Post by DBZfan2015 » Tue Dec 15, 2015 4:27 pm

Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha, and Buu were once Goku's enemies, but they later changed. Could this happen to Beerus? Maybe there's something out there that will cause Beerus's heart to change.

Isn't that "feed me or I will kill you" schtick of his getting old?

I don't think he's a villain anymore, just an antihero with a bad temper which is what makes him who he is,turning him into a full good guy would take away what makes him who he is.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

No way. Beerus is gonna stay neutral. He said himself in Resurrection F he can't take sides.

He will definitely stay neutral however, we all know he will pull strings or let things slide for Earth. :D

Beerus isn't evil or a villain, to label him as such is just as inappropriate as labelling Goku a selfless hero. His job is to destroy so new life can exist. Its a necessary function of the universe. It might not be a pretty necessity but Dragon Ball tip toes around its own self made nasty implications enough without Beerus being added to that list which would completely ruin his entire appeal. Frankly this desire to black or white, good or evil everything and everyone in DB just annoys me.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Agreed, I'd like Beerus to stay the short tempered force of nature that he is. Beerus is similar to one of my favorite characters on Supernatural - Death. Death isn't evil, he's not good, he just is.

There is no way I see him becoming "good" I foresee him staying neutral like everyone else said. That is just not the kind of person he is.

Right, Beerus is like death. It's just something that helps keep order, and it is not good nor evil, as if no one ever died, then the world would be overpopulated and we'd all be in chaos.

Well he's not a bad guy. An asshole yes, but not a bad guy. Second, Beers has been on the road he's been in for eons. For him, why fix what isn't broken?

It was hinted in the anime that Whis commented that Beerus changed.

What would Beerus think of Perfect Cell if he had suceeded in his goals? Would Beerus thank Cell for making his job easier, or would he get offended at cell for "cutting into his business"? I would love to see an alternate timeline where Cell destroyed earth and other planets, and Beerus confronts him about it.

I always wonder how gods feel about mortals that have similar interests as them.

He's not even evil to begin with. His neutrality is what makes him cool, he'd become a boring character if he became a good guy.

Exactly, the only way you can have Beerus change without butchering his entire appeal is to make him less inclined to destroy planets on a whim and give them a chance. Making him a bit more merciful while still keeping him in-character.

I would imagine Beerus would be neutral and still be a ally to Goku kinda like how Si Xing Long (Nova Shenron) was from what I can remember.

Because of his "job" he really can't.
