I dunno...I'm honestly kind of expecting it to be something like that too. At most, we might get some kind of teaser trailer showcasing a bit of stuff we can expect in the next arc, but even that seems questionable.

Whether it's a Japanese style thing, or just the way Shonen Jump and/or Toei does it, but a lot of times these big announcements really are over hyped, and not just for Dragon Ball. There's been plenty of times in the past where it'll be 'SUPER HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT COMING GUYS, THE TIME HAS COME, PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THE ALMIGHTY UNVEILING OF...' advertising, only for it to be a new set of keychains or something. And then on the inverse, we'll get stuff that's actually pretty awesome come out of freaking nowhere (as happened with both Resurrection 'F' and Super). It's kinda funny when you think about it.

Why would that be a big announcement? We've known for six months that we are going to have Universe 6 arc. Big announcement means big surprise, and that is not a surprise.

Well the casual fans that don't follow stuff on the web probably didn't know about it. We are getting U6 sooner then later. Most people think it won't happen until February at least.

I'm surprised we're getting Uni 6 so early. I still hope for some in between arc stuff though. Overall I enjoyed the "filler" between reBOG and reF.

The supposed titles surrounding the start of the Champa Arc don't leave room for a buffer of filler, but that doesn't mean we couldn't see some of that sort of fluff in the five days between Champa's visit and the start of the tournament.

That said, I'm not getting my hopes up for it, but it is a possibility.

I didn't realize how much I missed the filler until we got some again. ^^;

I guess it depends on the type of filler.

I don't remember what they were exactly and this thread is kind of a mess to look through.

27 was something about Goku's decisive(?) Kamehameha. So, no, contrary to some fans dreams, Vegeta isn't winning this time around.

28 was about the arrival of the Hakaishin Champa.

29 was about the the new era of a tournament or something.

I meant winning as in getting the kill; which is what said fans were wanting in the first place. Afterall, he already "won" the battle in Resurrection "F" and this will likely play out similarly enough.

I don't know. There are 4 episodes left for the arc, and the upcoming one will probably end with Goku's SSGSS transformation (he does transform in the preview, it's just a matter of when). If I had to guess with that layout...

24 will end with SSGSS Goku and maybe Golden Freeza.
25 will either start with Golden Freeza's transformation, or start their battle. Probably end with the reveal of his weakness?
26 may be Goku trying to stall and end with Goku getting shot by Sorbet.
27 will probably have the first half be Vegeta's time to shine, with the second half being Earth blowing up, time rewind and the final Kamehameha.

I dont really care if Vegeta will not kill Freeza.I just want a longer fight or torture and some flashbacks.

I like that Goku killed Freeza in ROF since he finally finished off on what he should have done on Namek. I still hope Goku kills Freeza in Super.

The announcement of Universe 6 characters was the big announcement I was expecting. Doubt there's anything more. But I don't mind.

Still, while it's always a good time to be a DB fan, this last weeks have been awesome:
1- DB (Pre-Z) Full Color print announcement.
2 - Universe 6 characters reveal and anime debut date.

Exactly, it was a perfect length, not too short like Gogeta but not too long either, I mean Vegeta beating down an already drained Freeza would get boring fast.

If Toie thinks a fight between their 2nd lead character and Freeza isn't worth that much screen time then what are they going to give Piccolo&Buu ? are Goku's fights going to spread across multiple episodes while everyone else gets a minute or less ?

So you telling me that Vegeta is so weak that he cannot defeat already defeated freeza(he was just one hit aways before dying from goku, until that ray gun bull), nah i rather have a quick vegeta beating freeza session rather than making vegeta look weak.
