Hello!
Is there already a comparison between the DB-Super series and the new DVDs?

No, not yet. But honestly, there really wasn't anything majorly wrong with the first three episodes in terms of animation, so I don't imagine there would be any significant touch ups in terms of animation. It's the December 2nd which is the really the important date because that's when the second rental DVD and the first DVD and Blu-ray box sets are released, and they contain the infamous animation collapse that was Episode 5. It'll be really interesting to how much, if at all, Toei fixes the animation for that episode.

I think the only way they'd do the latter is if Yanami is well enough to return to dub the lines where he was replaced in the broadcast. I don't forsee a situation where he would be scrubbed from Super just because he was noticably ailing in those early episodes.Tojima wrote:Yeah...i hope they change the whole episode 5 and maybe replace kaios voice

I think this is not possible...
He is already 84 Years old.
Let the man rest and we must honor him for what he did.
Maybe Super will go on for years...

I wouldn't mind if they reanimated the Z/Kai footage flashbacks so that they don't clash with the new stuff...

I don't think he has ever been under any duress to work. If he didn't want to return for Super, he would have just retired - that has to be his decision.Tojima wrote:I think this is not possible...

If this picture lasts long then it shall be funny to come back to it in a few years to see me using that lewd avatar.Sodhi wrote:

We'll probably have to wait until the Blu-ray is officially released before we get absolute confirmation, but it certainly looks like there isn't corrections made to the episode.

I found an interesting comment on YouTube (DBS ep5 Blu ray Goku vs Beerus).

Is this DBZSavage guy telling the truth? Or is it only his imagination?

It is just his imagination,Blu-Ray is what international release will get, nothing more improvement than that.Mnich wrote:I found an interesting comment on YouTube (DBS ep5 Blu ray Goku vs Beerus).

No, it doesn't seem like they've changed anything. We discussed it in the big announcement thread the other day:genjosanzo8 wrote:the box 2 is out of dragon ball super.

Re: Comparison pictures of the Dragon Ball Super DVD?
My Super Box #2 Blu-Ray arrived over the weekend but I've only finally gotten around to scrutinising it.
To add to that which has been said above, unfortunately there has been no changes to my eye. If I'm being honest, the end stretch of the Beerus fight and the start of the Freeza stuff was, on the whole, not so bad. There's some really great work - especially Yamamuro's episode.
On the other side of the coin, however, Episode 24 - which I think is undisputedly the worst-looking episode of Super on so many levels, has been left entirely untouched. For all the criticism that Episode 5 generated, it's really nothing in comparison in my opinion; just how #24 has managed to slip under the radar of the li9n-share of negative public perception is beyond me. Presumably most of the loudest dissenting voices in the fandom had probably written Super off and stopped watching by the time it aired.
