It would be great if it were so, though. I would have preferred it if they based it on the GT series in general. (Or the second half of it)
(Flicks Mac's forehead) I know it isn't. I'm just referencing that if Another Road were a GT game, they could take the easy way out and have past villains resurface like in the first Shin Budokai, and still keep it relevent.

I was agreeing with you, but okay...

Edit: Indirectly agreeing. I don't always say things in a normal way.

Any thoughts? Looks like the story mode format from Budokai 3 is coming back! If it's not going to be better than Budokai 3, at least it'll be better than Sparking! NEO. Showing merely a screenshot during a battle demonstrating Super Saiyan 3 Goku's Kamehameha is just not special. I'm excited about the image of Trunks floating above the world map, though. Too little is shown for me to say anything about it right now.

Oh yeah, I don't have a PSP, which would basically render my excitement from above useless and...well, useless. :x

Edit- My fingers are crossed for a PS2 release, just like Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories got carried from PSP to PS2. But the PS2 is almost dead, making it nearly impossible for another DBZ game from Dimps to be released.

So, it looks like we've been gifted another blue bar on the HUD.

What the hell could it be for? I really can't see anything missing other than possibly a fatigue bar, which we don't really need (and I'm sure Dimps know that, too...).

I seriously. Cannot. Wait. For this. Shin Budokai sucked up pointless hours of my life, especially the network battle system. Soo much fun :P .

You confuse me. Does this mean you enjoyed Shin Budokai? Or just the network battle system? To me, playing any video game sucks up pointless hours, but I waste my time on them anyway. Just asking.

As for the blue bar, I haven't the slightest clue. Let me call Dimps...no answer. Oh well.

Try this one.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

It is just a good image. We can see the "dragonuniverse" or such thing.
And that image over the sea has its colors based on Budokai 3 rock island.

I am trying to like sparking, but it can't hardly be compared even to shin budokai psp. I would hope and see budokai 4 on ps2 at ease.

Now that is amazing. I cannot believe it. The only problem.. with things to pay for and saving for the PS3, I may not get this on the exact date it comes out..of course, if it's a new Dragon Ball, I may push myself to buy it anyways.

New things:

-Graphics have seen a pretty nice improvement.(Not a large improvement, but better.)

-Dragon Universe or a variation of Dragon Universe will be the story mode.

-Future Trunks in Armor Confirmed.

I'll try and see if I can translate any of the info, but I'm not promising anything.

Great that I have a PSP, bad that the backlight is dying. I guess it's time to buy that Japanese PSP I was going to get anyways. Great, more things to buy. Perhaps I'll hand over the old PSP to a friend, but it will be hard to part with my Family Guy Season 1. :( Anyways, the game looks great, a nice improvment over the first game.(As I expected.)

GTA:LCS was a one time deal. Nothing else is getting ported over from the PSP, for instance Vice City Stories won't be ported to the PS2.

It doesn't really have anything to do with the PS2's status, also note there are PS2 games planned to be released as late as March 2008, so it will still be going for at least another year.

The reason you don't see anything ported over from the PSP is because it makes the PSP virtualy pointless, ie why would anybody bother buying a PSP or PSP games when they know they could just wait for them to be ported to the PS2?

Well guess I can chime in here.

I love the Narutimate Hero series. However, I can't bring my PS2 with me anywhere I go. Therefore, I have Narutimate Portable for PSP.
Same thing goes for Shin Budokai.

Concerning the Dragon Universe-ish thing, I think that's more of a minigame IMO.

You can see what looks like a timer reading "033:24".

Also, there's some bar thing at the bottom that I can only assume would be used for a timing exercise.

But, a map is also displayed which would suggest it as a Dragon Universe-esque mode.

It is a mini-game or time for something to explode?
There seem to be another fighter over there too.
I wonder if you can talk to fighters in the middle of the way.. nah : )

"January 22, 2007 - Today, Atari announced the development of two entirely new Dragon Ball Z titles. Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai: Another Road for the PSP and Dragon Ball Z Harukanaru Densetsu for Nintendo DS will both be fighting their way to stores this spring.

Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai: Another Road is the sequel to the PSP game, Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai. The game follows the same pattern as last year's game and adds more than 50 new fighting skills and ultimate attacks, as well as the power to play heroes and villains from throughout the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT worlds. Additionally, Shin Budokai will offer Dragon Ball fans an entirely new storyline, following Future Trunks in his battles against arch-rival, Majin Buu. Developed by Namco Bandai, Dragon Ball Z Shinbudokai: Another Road is slated for release on the PSP this March.

Dragon Ball Z Harukanaru Densetsu combines strategic card-based gameplay and role-playing for a new Dragon Ball experience. Cards are the focal point of the game, as they are used to evolve characters and customize moves. Dragon Ball Z Harukanaru Densetsu will be available on the DS this spring.

Newcomers and faithful fans of DBZ will be thrilled with these two new handheld games," said Emily Anadu of Atari. "Shin Budokai: Another Road lets players take the DBZ universe over a Wi-Fi network with an exciting new story that is sure to grab long-time fans while Harukanaru Densetsu tackles a new form of RPG with card-playing -- an interesting innovation for the DBZ series that we believe will attract gamers who enjoy strategy-based gameplay."

Ok, Majin Buu never met Future Trunks. :p It's AMAZING to know that there is Infrastructure mode in Shin Budokai 2. This will be the best Dragon Ball yet. The first online game mixed with one of the best type of DB games and we have a winner.

O.O

Depending on Daizex's review of Densetsu, I'll think about a purchase. And I think it's about time for me to pick up a PSP. Man, this sounds to good to be true. I mean, if they're willing to make a new storyline for a PSP game, wait until the Wii/PS3 games start pouring in!

Oh man, I'm liking this a lot. They've put their imaginations to work and done a spin off story rather than forcing us through the same old stuff again.

If this ends up catching my attention more than the first one I guess I'll just have to wave goodbye to another 20 or so hours of my life :P .

On a side note...
play heroes and villains from throughout the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT worlds
The return of Super Saiyan 4? Characters like King Piccolo mebbe? Its looking like it'll be one of those titles that throws a few surprises our way.

Awesome.

A game based on an entirely new storyline? PSP just moved its way up my list of systems I need!
