Yea I was wondering why does this has the same rating as one piece.
I didn't realize they got the exact same viewership before you mentioned it, which is quite funny, as they aired in completely different timeslots. These Saturday night movies used to get better ratings a while ago.

I'm surprised One Piece is still THAT popular. An 8.6 in ratings for a series that's been airing for years now?

Its nothing compared to Sazae-San, which has been airing from the 60's.

I know, but One Piece is another shonen series like Dragonball. So its a good comparison as its aimed at the same audience rather than a family oriented show from the 60's.

All the most popular anime series have been airing for years or decades.

If we look at the typical top 10 these days: Sazae, Maruko, Doraemon, Conan, One Piece, Shin-chan, Dragon Ball Super, Kindaichi, Yokai Watch, Precure/Pokemon, the only new shows are DBS, Kindaichi and Yokai Watch. And still, DB and Kindaichi are old franchises with established fanbases.

120 episode arc!?!?!?. Holy shit and here I thought I should check it out someday.
There's room for only one snake, and one big boss.

It's a great series so you should.

I get the number of episodes seems like a lot which it is but the story is so good that once you start you'll have trouble putting it down and you'll be caught up before you know it.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Technically it's only like 95 episodes so far, but yeah, Dressrosa was a very long arc (10 volumes, around 100 chapters in the manga), and Toei adapting the bare minimum amount of manga content possible per episode hasn't helped at all (and neither have the frequent scheduled breaks the manga takes these days).

http://www.tvguide.or.jp/ranking/timerr ... index.html

DVR Rating: 7th of December- 13th of December
1st: Lupin III - 100.0
2nd: Yokai Watch - 81.9 (Didn't air last week)
3rd: One Piece - 79.0
4th: Doraemon - 74.7 (Down 2)
5th: One Punch Man - 60.8 (Down 1)
6th: Detective Conan - 59.4 (Down 1)
7th: Mobile Suit Gundam - 58.2 (Down 1)
8th: Gintama - 55.1 (Down 1)
9th: Dragon Ball Super(Episode 23) - 52.4 (Down 1)
10th: Kamen Rider - 39.4 (Down 1)

Steady week for Super. Almost everybody went down a place with the return of Yokai Watch. There were percentage raises across the board, Lupin III had less viewers by a noticeable amount.

No. Look at the date, DVR ratings are always a week behind.

Holiday scheduling, so episode 25's will be available on the 6th of January (In Japan).
Episode 26 the 12th, 27 the 18th and 28 the 21st. The timing goes back to normal on the 18th of January.

2 episodes left for Super's "real test" to begin. Hopefully ratings will improve (or at least consolidate) from there on.

Any post before 8/7/2016 isn't mine. This account was a gift from someone who thought the account was already banned. Saved me the trouble of making a new one haha XD

I love DB/DBZ/DBGT/DBZK/DBS (If I didn't why would I be here? XD)

No, this was because of New Year.
