Okay, this question would be easier to get through if I could find the freakin' screenshot in question, but for the life of me, I can't. So please bear with me.
I remembered this via watching the Legacy of Goku playthrough from TFS, but back in an old issue of GamePro (apparently this issue, the March 2002 one, from what I can find), there was an article talking about the upcoming release of the game (as well as teases of a PS2 title that would go on to be Budokai if I recall right). In the article, they had some screenshots of the game's work in progress. Most of the screenshots were things exactly as you would eventually see them in the game, but one of them had a curious difference. In a screenshot of Goku in the healing chamber room on Namek, while he's healing in the chamber, you can see Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan in the room with him. As a kid playing the game, I noticed that didn't happen in the game - hell, I actually took the time to sit there on that screen and wait a while to see if they would eventually wander in, like if there was a cutscene or something. It doesn't, so clearly this is something that was changed as the game's development went on.
Just as an aside, does anyone else remember that screenshot? The main reason I bring this up and ask about it is this though - there's a bonus feature on the old single release of the first Broly movie that shows the team at Atari working on the second game, which was a pretty neat look at things. Was anything like this ever produced for the first game in the series, or Buu's Fury? Not necessarily a video, but even an article or anything that might shed some light on other things in the games that almost got put in, or the like? If there are, I'd be pretty interested in checking them out, since as a whole, these are some of my favorite games in the franchise.
