Same. Just to clarify on my first post, when I said "the one from the video games", I was talking about the time traveler(?) with the mask. Not Bardock as a playable character from the series.Kamiccolo9 wrote:Yes. The masked one who goes around beating up SSJ4 Gogeta for some reason.

Yeah,Heroes' creators must've been on crack or something when they thought of that.(or just Heroes in general)Luso Saiyan wrote:Same. Time Breaker Bardock comes from Dragon Ball Online, so you should specify that is the one from a single trailer belonging to Dragon Ball Heroes.

Personally, I like Funi's handling of him.
I'll go with Minus, since that was just bland.

Re: Which Bardock was the worst?
Dragon Ball Minus Bardock is definitely worse because it comes from Toriyama. Episode of Bardock is weird and dumb, but it's a harmless side-story. Nobody with authority is attempting to promote it as canon. Minus is presented as if it represents Goku's true origins, so I feel I should accept it as so. I mean, I'm choosing not to, but I feel like I should.

Re: Which Bardock was the worst?
Well, you don't really have a choice. Toei/Shueisha/Bandai may go and do their own stuff without Toriyama when he's not interested/tired/on breaks, but whenever he's involved they all take his word as gospel nowadays. It's only logical to expect this origin/version will be promoted as canon and included from now on whenever relevant. No escaping IMO.batistabus wrote:Dragon Ball Minus Bardock is definitely worse because it comes from Toriyama. Episode of Bardock is weird and dumb, but it's a harmless side-story. Personally, I realize all the issues and flaws of Minus but I won't lie, I sold my soul and forgave everything as soon as I saw Grandma Gine sporting EOZ Goten hairstyle, Toriyama bought me easily on this one I can't help it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If this comic has proven anything, it's that Bardock's character must be permanently shelved.Sandubadear wrote:Leaving this here: http://ask-bardock-and-raditz.tumblr.co ... 9106366410

Re: Which Bardock was the worst?
Man, I made this post drunk a few days ago and didn't even put my own 2 cents.
Seeing as how TV Special Bardock (or Burdock) was the first, it only makes sense that most people see the other incarnations as continuations or variants of that character.
It makes sense. Not only was he the first, but Toriyama put him in the manga. Gving him the honor of being included into his official manga universe. People really seem to enjoy this Bardock.
With EoB Bardock people have pointed out that giving him all this achievements sort of diminishes his character and I agree. But it's funny how EoB Bardock is more like FUNI's Bardock than the original. If you view EoB as a sequel to the FUNI version it actually makes a lot more sense.
However, Minus is just so completely different than the Bardock we have seen in all other previous incarnations. Not only that but Bardock has very little character in it. We really don't know much about him other than he loves his family and has a strong sixth sense? (A nod to the special perhaps?) He's just not interesting, and the Story of Minus doesn't give ANY character a chance to let the audience get a clear grasp on the character or be developed in any significant way.
There seems to be a misconception that Minus contradicts Chapter 307. This is simply not true. There is nothing in Minus that changes what was shown in the Manga. All we know is that in Toriyama's universe Bardock stood up to Freeza and got killed. THAT'S IT. Minus honestly has little to no bearing on that. I have little doubt that a man like Bardock in Minus WOULDN'T stand up to Freeza.
But with all that said, Minus is still the worst Bardock to me. Uninteresting and frankly inferior to what has come before.

Re: Which Bardock was the worst?
Not wanting to get too off-topic but I am curious, to everyone that say Dragon Ball Minus' Bardock is the worst, how would you accept Bardock from Dragon Ball Online (in regard to his personality)?
The game went far enough to show us that Bardock did care for his son, so in other words, we already knew that side of Bardock since 2010, technically (or for all those that consider/considered Dragon Ball Online canon).
I do wonder, what were the chances of the game's producers they somehow knew something like that? Or did Toriyama indeed contribute to something involving the plot and said to the producers that that was Bardock's personality?

Re: Which Bardock was the worst?
The Bardocks after the first TV special were slowly making me like him less.
