How Would You Feel About Alternating Recap Themes?

Post by Fionordequester » Wed Jan 06, 2016 1:46 am

As in, how would you feel about NOT having just one set recap theme like this one (I think it changes during the Buu Saga, but you know what I mean)? What if, instead, we had a different recap theme per saga, one specifically written for those episodes? So for example, Imperfect Cell. From the time Trunks first discovers that egg, to when Cell absorbs #18 (or when Piccolo starts fighting #17), the song below would be the recap theme...

And for the episodes where Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan are just traveling through space, the below theme would play...

But then when that same trio arrives on Namek, sees Frieza, and sees just how dangerous everything is, this theme would play...

...Until they encounter the Ginyu Force, at which point we get this instead (except obviously with different lyrics)...

Or for the episodes covering Gohan's journey throughout the Saiyan Saga, we'd have this...

And of course, I think you get the general idea. What do you all think? Supposing HFIL froze over (I dunno, maybe Sumitomo plagiarized a bunch of stuff too), and there was ever another alternate score, would it be cool to get varying recap themes like what I'm suggesting, or would it come off as tacky or something?
