Would you like a more mature and deeper db story

I would love for there to be a well done balance between the funny and fun stuff and the more serious and darker themes. It works for stories like One Piece and Gintama. I just can't help but feel like the tone is dictated by the fact that it's a weekend morning cartoon and that Toriyama seems to be somewhat agains using said darker themes.

Naw, I'm a far cry from that neckbeard asspie (even though I still watch him)... I actually have a sense of humor. Only thing we've got in common is the autism spectrum shit.

If you're going to admit to watching someone that you not only identify with but directly compare yourself to, maybe you don't really have much of a valid criticism/point to make here, and it's not something worth posting in the first place.

Shit, and I thought I was gonna see a lot of disagreements.

Anyway, to me, hell yeah. I honestly think it's long overdue after Cell. Yes, the series is for kids overall, but that doesn't mean things have to be oversimplified. The reason why I favor the Cell saga over most is because of the mildly-complex plot and the intensity. Toei just needs to hire a good writer, cuz they should know that Toriyama ain't writing no "big boy" stories no mo.

Although I probably wouldn't enjoy it much and I don't think it's necessary, an extended look into Dragon Ball's story and world wouldn't be a bad thing, even if it was a bit grittier.

I won't mind if we still have humor. Dragon Ball should always have comedy in it as well having a serious story too.
