From what I've read, 16:9 is becoming more popular in Japan and so 16:9 anime is starting to become more popular (such as Samurai Champloo or Trinity Blood).
Taking this into account, I wish I could find a film frame of Samurai Champloo before it gets put in it's 16:9 frame for TV and DVD to see what it would look like if I cropped it to 4:3.
BTW: I also noticed that in a lot of recent anime that was meant for 16:9 the top of heads and the feet are cut off in a lot of shots just like the new DBZ release.
Anywho, before I got myself sidetracked, I was wondering... with 16:9 becoming more and more popular do you think Toei will ever go the route of FUNi and produce a 16:9 DBZ themselves? Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing it as they already have a 4:3 version out so at least you get the option of one or the other.
I wish we had the option here...
