Stopping it's production until they're either done with something more important like Super or when they're able to make it without sacrificing another show's quality.
What you're suggesting would do far far more harm then good. Can you imagine the backlash Toei would suffer from such a stupid plan? "Hi fans of this show that makes us money. We need to completely halt production of this show you love so we can funnel its resources into Dragon Ball Super! Thanks for understanding!...wait where are you going?"
Super is a cheap cash grab production, this is just something you're going to have to accept and move on from. They aren't going to do what you are suggesting cause that would burn so many bridges it's not even funny.
Going on hiatus. Too much stuff in RL to deal with for me to keep up with posts here for now. Was fun, hope you all have a nice day and future! Volt signing off.

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

I was rewacthing Super second teaser, and Champa scenes are like Universe 6 arc debut in the manga.
Seems like Toei could just animate that part to hype the fanbase or maybe they have been working on Universe 6 arc since the beginning?!

They never said exactly. Its more than 6 months, that's for sure.
If they still care about EOZ, ROF takes place 5 years after Buu, even though no one is getting older...

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

Why are you so sure?
Also if it is not asking too much, could someone provide me sources that proves that BoG is set 4 years after Boo Arc and RoF is set 9 months after BoG? It would help me a lot.

Why are you so sure?
Because the narrator himself said some time passed after those 6 months.

I'll give Super a bit of credit for some of it's humour. While it's simple and often repetitive, at least it doesn't commit the worst comedy sin of all. Explaining the joke. I'm at least glad while Super isn't that great at comedy, it sticks by it's guns. While others shows or series may love their jokes so much they explain them, or explain them because they feel the audience is dumb. I'm at least happy Super isn't that crazy.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
So then we can assume that Super has the same timeline as the movies?
The safest assumed placement is the same as the films. There's more to screw up by using the 6 month timeframe than there is using the film's 4 year placement on the timeline. So yes, unless something official comes out and supports a confirmed retcon of previous material, I think that's the best option.

Pan's age, "impossible" Dragon Ball usage, contradictions with Beerus' date of sleep & planet Vegeta's destruction, Gohan and Videl starting the married life when their school year from the start of the Buu Arc isn't over at least being questionable, etc.

People on GAF are saying this says this guy is working as an animation director on Super and there's nothing they can do about the quality, can I get some confirmation on this stuff?

He hasn't been credited yet as working on the series.

I'm not sure he's referring to himself but that's basically it. He talks about a "layout check" lasting 10 days, the quality not being "protected" (I assume this means it can't be guaranteed/consistent) and that someone, somewhere, messed up the schedule.

Now I'm confused...
If he's not talking about himself then how does he know this? What's this 10 day layout check he's talking about? What kind of scheduling mistake is he talking about? And is he talking about the quality of upcoming episodes not being protected or is he talking about the episodes that have been airing that have been low quality?
Also why does it say "Dragon 000"? is he even talking about Dragon Ball Super?
Can I get a straight up translation?

"Dragon *censored*, where I'm working at the moment, can't really be helped. The animation director does nothing but check the layout for 10 days (I'll explain this sentence better afterwards). No matter what, the quality can't be "protected" (sorry for being literal but the meaning is somewhere around kept/maintained/guaranteed). Who did, at what point, mess the schedule up?"
About the "10 days" sentence, I'm not familiar with production terms so I'm not sure what this "sakuga kantoku kikan" refers to actually, but it seems it can mean a period of time where one is working as the animation director of a show. Since I interpreted that in another way at first and I don't know who Shujiro Hamakawa is, I preferred to be vague and not say he is the animation director in case he is not. Likewise, my phrasing of the "does nothing but check the layout for 10 days" might give the impression that's a choice he has but the implication seems to be that's the time period they force him to have. Either way, what's important is that 10 days aren't enough to do that.
