Opinions on Gotenks

How do you guys feel about Gotenks as a character? I know some people find him annoying because of his antics and such, but I found him to be a pretty cool design with a cocky attitude that rivaled even Vegeta's. His hairstyle was pretty much the same as Vegeta's funnily enough, and a lot of the techniques he came up with were awesome. I've always enjoyed his fight with Super Buu, and have found him to be more interesting than either Goten or Kid Trunks are as individuals.

This so much. I Gotenks fundamentally flawed. And that is completly thanks to Trunks.


But as stated above, I've found his fights pretty entraining and I love the posses, but thats for the same reason I like Ginyu Force.

I really liked Gotenks. He brought some of Buu saga's funniest moments. Although his desire to drag out the fight did get a bit annoying. His personality also felt like the natural result of Goten and Trunks' personalities fusing.

The arrogance of Trunks fused with the playfulness of Goten and you get Gotenks.

He's the character with the coolest attacks, so far.
Galatic Donuts, Renzoku Super Donuts and Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack give him the victory. I always liked him.

At first I really liked him, but over time I grew to dislike him more and more till I eventually started hating the character, The Gotenks portion of the Buu saga has become a struggle for me in rewatches...However! I do like Adult Gotenks from heroes, he seems to have kept the humor a bit but overall matured. I'd love to have a Heroes series just because of Adult Gotenks.

He's annoying, his stick got boring 20 years ago, he detracts and interferes in Trunks and Goten's own characters and developements.

To sum up: Gotenks needs to never appear again.

One of my favorite characters, at least in the Boo arc. Everyone's forced to pin their hopes on a cosmically powerful eight-year-old, and when push comes to shove it goes about as well as you might expect. Gotenks vs. Boo is one of my favorite fights in the series.

He's great. I love Gotenks. I don't see him as this super-awesome-character-with-real-depth-to-it, but more of a funny little guy with great power and some amazing skills and attacks.

Toriyama tried infusin Vegeta's arrogance & Goku's playfulness/hax (SSJ3 all that crap) which back-fired imo

The "fun" element was there. The actual fight, particularly Anime sucked ass. Like freakin 6 episodes for Gotenks vs Super Buu?!!! U kiddin me?

The animation durin their time as Gotenks also suffered (thx to Uchiyama & Ebisawa)

Manga's fight was funny & cool. Toriyama balanced well.

Still in the long run, most of his scenez were ultimately pointless.

His moments in Fusion Reborn & Wrath of Dragon were good though

His fight with Super Boo was one of the most entertaining battles the franchise ever produced, but his gimmick got real old, real fast. I don't really care for the character at all.

I honestly dont really like the concept of fusin in general but i do like Gotenks and i kinda wish he couldve been some off shoot thing instead of the fusion technique that anybody can do. But i love the kamikaze ghosts ad lke others have said his fight with super Boo was one of the best

His fight with Buu is probably one of my favorite things in DB even though the character himself is something I can only tolerate in small dosages, so I guess it's good he can only be around for 30 minutes. It was both entertaining and cringeworthy to see him drive Piccolo crazy.

I don't have a strong negative or positive opinion of him as a character as like Vegetto he just exists in the clusterfuck that is the Buu saga, though I do dislike fusion as a whole. I do enjoy his attacks as they feel like random on the fly DB goofiness that I'd expect from a kid whose watched too much TV/Super Sentai. I'm fine with seeing more of him though moreso in his adult form we see in Heroes as I just want these damn kids to age already.

I love Gotenks! His looks are awesome! His personality funny, and his attacks are very original! He's the greatest character in DBZ if you ask me.

Not a fan at all, I could live without him ever showing up again, I'd prefer it actually.
