Movie BOG/ROF vs Super BOG/ROF: which will you rewatch more?
Movie BOG/ROF vs Super BOG/ROF: which will you rewatch more?
As in the title. When going through BOG/ROF arcs in the future, will you rewatch them more often in Movie format or Super format?

I would watch the first two episodes of Super, watch BoG, then watch Super!BoG's final fight. Then, I would watch the "filler" episodes between the arcs, watch RoF, then watch episode 27 of Super.Basaku wrote:As in the title. That's if I need to quickly catch up in the future. If I marathon stuff, I will probably watch both regardless.

I'll rewatch BoG because it's the better product and because it's a lot shorter.
I won't rewatch either the F arc or the film ever again because they're both utter garbage.

I'll rewatch certain bits and pieces from Super BoG on YT but that's about it from the TV show.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

I'd maybe check out bits and pieces of both, but that's it. Neither movie and especially arcs were are entertaining enough to warrant me to watch through them a whole bunch of times. With the arcs and F being the one's I think that aren't so good.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I'd rewatch the BoG movie over Super's version of that story. As for RoF, I didn't like the film, and I don't really know what to make of Super's rebelling of it just yet. There were some things that I think Super improved upon for RoF, but the animation was still pretty shoddy, and Piccolo's rehashed sacrifice didn't seem to serve any purpose outside of cheap drama.

The BOG arc didn't change much so I'll be going with the movie.
The RF arc is a huge improvement over the movie due to how Vegeta was handled so I'll be watching it over the movie.

The movies because they're shorter and much much better.

Movies, handily.
You can tell their plots were designed for ninety-minute films, and are fun and interesting in that format. They've lost a lot in serialization.

Episodes 1+2 > BoG > episodes 9-18 > RF > episode 27 and onward.

Only thing I may rewatch is BoG's final battle.
Everything else, I will try to repress.

"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

The movies. I'm sure I'll watch Super back a fair bit in the coming years though. Especially once it has an English release and I can pick up the boxsets. Who knows, throughout that time my opnion may change but right now there's little doubt in my mind that the movies are superior in pretty much every way.

Sorry to be blunt. But I'd rather watch paint dry or Naruto.

Episodes 1 and 2, BoG, episodes 15-18, RoF
Theres no movie for the Champa arc, so I'll obviously be watching Super for that.

Honestly I doubt I'll ever watch Super all the way through even once. I MIGHT start watching it in the Universe 6 arc if they don't end up making a movie version of that arc, but the handful of episodes that I've seen of the BoG and RoF arcs are more than enough for me.

The movies, no question. But Episodes 1 and 2 served as a nice prologue to the events of Battle Of Gods and Episode 27 had a much better ending than the Resurrection F, I'll give it that.

Movies absolutely. No time wasting straight to the point and well animated. And the movies have old sound effects and the score is better then their anime counterparts.
