The Oozaru form is useless if most of the Saiyans can turn SSJ. Hell, having a tail is actually a bad thing if you don't train it. Even Raditz, someone who apparently got some sort of training, didn't have a properly conditioned tail. Evolution takes a long time, but if SSJ is fairly common in U6, it makes sense why losing the tail is considered an improvement.

Frost final form is probably just a Blue version of Golden/final form Freeza, we all know Toriyama's way of thinking by now. As simple as possible.

And Goku's hair just going up and turning yellow wasn't simple? The design was even made for the real world reason of making it where there was less inking to be done - Toriyama looking for the easy way out is hardly a new trend in his writing/designing.

I never said he wasn't doing lazy things in the past, I already know of the ssj thing. However it has become even more clear now in the last few years and pretty much everyone have noticed it recently.

Regardless of how strong his base is, turning Ssj1 will multiply his base power by 50×.

That was my initial reaction at first, but it doesn't rule out Goku losing in a stupid way, as others have said, or him at least wearing out the person he loses to significantly. I dont know if they'd write Piccolo in just to have him get one shotted or not fight at all.

Maybe it's just me then, but compared to the alternative of going even more over the top like most fan designed SS5 and beyond forms look, the simplicity is a good thing, for the most part.

At least Goku has a high likelihood of claiming a victory or two under his belt before going down; assuming Toriyama intends for him to lose in the first place. I doubt Piccolo has a realistic chance of making it far in this tournament. He's almost assuredly the weakest member of the U7 team and the fact that Goku is receiving the weakest members as opponents lends credence to the theory about Piccolo being exploited for measuring purposes of U6's power.

What I'll predict is that the tournament will be completed and, regardless of who wins, Vegeta and Goku will go to planet Salad for a mini-arc.

If he jobs then I'm 2/2 when it comes to Boo and Piccolo. I'm hoping Goku switches out after a win and then Piccolo fights the robot guy who's labelled specifically about his techniques.

Goku winning doesn't mean he'll fight till he loses, he'll probably switch Piccolo in for the 2nd match and Piccolo will do the same for Vegeta in the 3rd match.

Vegeta probably won't switch with anyone till he loses.

Yeah, he can channel god ki in his base form. If he goes SSJ now, he'd technically be going SSGSSJ (SSB).

Wow I just thought of something. Maybe an evil guy in Uni 6 is trying to destroy planet Sarada so Goku and Vegeta go to Uni 6 to help Cabbe and those saiyans?

  --Universe 6 Saiyans have lost their tails via the evolution process.
  --Universe 6 Saiyans are still a warrior race, but they don’t steal planets. They are actually employed to take down evil beings.
