Not sure if this is accurate for the whole US or not, but at my school at least, the grading mechanic went like this.

100-90 - A - Passing
89-80 - B - Passing
79-70 - C - Passing
69-60 - D - Passing, but barely
59-0 - F - Failing

There was also 'I' for Incomplete which I think was simultaneously worse than an F in some ways, but better because it generally allowed you to make up the work and thus go for another presumably higher score.

Ack, ninja-ed! I'm kind of surprised 50 is an acceptable grade there, or is the entire scoring thing different from the 0 to 100% ranking?

Most of the world uses 50% as passing mark in high-school/uni education. Sometimes more sometimes less.

Fun fact: final high-school standarized mark in Poland is 30% trololo... I'm not kidding

Magetta have his own race surprises me. I assumed he was just a robot created by someone, and could even have someone inside to pilot it.
Interesting.
You know Broly's inside. :shifty:

Interesting.
There's the rule saying you can't use weapons and protective gear. DBS mentions the 'no weapons' rule, but I think it forgot about the protective gear, since everyone is still wearing their armor.

Now I'm also hoping they show the scores of each contestant. I wonder who did the best in both teams. Any guesses as to who could have gotten a perfect 100%?

For when I was last in school it was

80-100 - A-/A/A+ PASS with flying colours
70-79 - B-/B/B+ PASS with the acceptable level
60-69 - C-/C/C+ PASS but still not quite to acceptable grade
50-59 - D/D-/D+ BARELY PASS
Below 50 - FAIL. Though I don't think Canada has F's or at least my schools didn't.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Doesn't this tournament take place in U6 ?

I'm now beginning to think maybe just my school was all sorts of insane on the grading scale (amongst other things)...wouldn't be too surprising, given that they were also prone to gloat about how we were in the top five schools in Arkansas academically...but then you'd look it up and Arkansas itself was hovering near the bottom for the entire US. Hooray! We're near the top of the dung pile! :P

No, It takes place in a planet in the middle of both. Neutral ground.

I wonder who the strongest person on team U6 is. It might be Hit just because he seems to be imposing and he was at the front of the line for the U6 poster, but Cabba and Frost could both be strong as well. I like the theory that Magetta might not be super strong, he might just have weird techniques that put him ahead of some. That would be something that could give Piccolo a chance to shine.

I'm hoping one of them is simply super fast. That would make for an interesting fight.

Damn, I guess we just get is somewhat more easy here in the UK on average.

Isn't サラダ how the english word "salad" is written in japanese ? Then the planet's name shouldn't be Salad ?

I think the reason Toriyama is bringing up U6's Saiyan planet is because the last ball is there and Beerus or Champa will want to destroy it in order to get it.

Goku & especially Vegeta aren't going to let that happen so we can expect a death battle between them and one or both destroyers.

I've got to say, two major things I'm really upset about.

1. The fact that they made a point to have Goku act like a moron because he ate too much. It's always been a staple of his for people to call him out on eating before fighting, but it's never bothered him before. For it to suddenly bother him just rubs me the wrong way. It's like it takes away a small charm that's been there since even the earliest of DB days.

2. I'm upset that they went with a generic "These are Saiyan good guys" kind of crap. *Insert Gohan dub line joke here*...I was kind of hoping for some type of insight into what a savage Saiyan would be like aside from Broli. I feel like this was the ultimate opportunity to show us what Saiyans were like before they were allowed to mentally develop thanks to technology.

I find it really weird that U6 has a lot going for it. Between Frost and the Saiyans, it sounds like its fairly well protected. Earth wasn't even effected by an external force, humanity kind of took itself out. It almost sounds like it'd be better off if earth was in U6, although Champa still gives off a weird, indescribable vibe to me.

Unless... everything isn't what it seems?!?!?!?

Nah, I have no idea where any of this is going, and I like that a lot.

EDIT: Then again, U7 doesn't really have a lot of major threats left, if any. If it does, I imagine they probably aren't as strong as Beerus, Whis, Goku, Monaka, and Vegeta. U6, on the other hand, sounds like it has a lot of strong groups coexisting with each other. Might be problematic if somebody tries to cause chaos or something. Hmmm.

The Saiyans are peaceful and Frost doesn't seem to be bad so his race is probably peaceful as well which leaves hit and his race as the potential troublemakers.
