Would you guys like a Budokai style fighter for DB

I'm sure Dimps could do a great job of making a Budokai game for the original Dragonball. They'd have to pretty much remove flight from the game with maybe a few exceptions, but I'm sure they could tweak the system enough to make it work. DB had a greater emphasis on close combat and special techniques than Z, so I have no doubt that they could work that to their advantage. It'd also be a great chance to include fighters that haven't been in many games like the Tournament guys. I doubt it'll ever get made but it's nice to think about. What are your guys thoughts on it?

So in other words Advanced Adventure but in 2.5D? Ehh, wo uld be cool but after Revenge of King Piccolo bombed I sadly doubt they will ever do a full-on DB game again.

Sort of, but not exactly. While Advanced Adventure was a great game, I found the 1v1 mode to be too repetitive and basic, ie. repeatedly breaking your opponent's guard and launching them into the air for a follow up combo. The 1v1 mode did have some cool mechanics that could be great if they expanded on them some more, but overall it was kind of limited (which was understandable for a GBA game). Although the side scrolling side of the game was well done.

I think they should make a DB fighter for PS4 that focuses exclusively then the 1v1 stuff, while maybe including some mini-games similar to Infinite World. It would use a variation of the Saiyan Overdrive fighting system from the Budokai series, with cancels and such.

It wouldn't necessarily have to be Budokai styled all the way, but a Dragon Ball centric fighting game? I could definitely go for something like that. It would remove the issue of trying to make some of the later DBZ mechanics work out in another new way, and would probably allow for characters to fight even more differently as well. I'd be all for it.

All I want is for Master Roshi to be a playable fighter in these new games.

For a Dragon Ball centric game, I'd rather have a ground-based 3D fighter. Like what Bandai Namco does for the modern Naruto games. That would fit pre-Raditz Dragon Ball's combat style and scale pretty well, I think.
