It's been confirmed U6's Saiyans are still a warrior race, don't you think an adult would be muscular? The only exception I can think of that isn't a buff adult Saiyan is Tarble, but that's because he doesn't fight.
As per Toriyama's explanation in Jaco, pure Saiyans don't have human like growth patterns. They go straight from being small children, roughly the size of kid Goku, to their adult body once they reach puberty. Cabba is only slightly shorter than Vegeta in this chapter, so he should be an adult.
Ah I didn't know that, thanks for sharing! I wonder why that didn't apply for Gohan though? He was the definition of pure

I want to see Planet Salad and how Vegeta and Gokû would (or would not) fit in among the Uni 6 saiyans.
I also want to see what the cities/towns look like, architecture-wise.

Pure, as in pure blooded. Gohan is a hybrid and apparently inherited Earthling genes to determine growth.

Since Beerus tells Goku,Vegeta and Piccolo to play rock paper scissors to determine who will fight first.I'm starting to think Piccolo is the same league as Goku and Vegeta now.

My current mode of thinking is that this arc will be used to show off Piccolo's power increase, and he'll tease Gohan's improvement, which will then be shown in the next arc

Any guesses for why the alternate Saiyans don't have tails? Did Toriyama just forget to draw one on Cabba and then came up with the evolution explanation as an excuse? Or was it an idea Toei came up with to make it easier to animate him? It's odd that they'd introduce new Saiyans who lack one of their race's defining traits.

I have a couple theories:
-didn't Toriyama say drawing Gokû's tail was a hassle and would look for ways to chop it off during serialization? Could be an extension of that.
-Toriyama could be going out of his way to avoid anything GT-ish? Tails lead to ssj4 after all.
-to separate this faction of saiyans from the ones of Planet Vegeta?

They don't have them because of how they evolved.

I feel the same way. When I heard that he got included in the U7 team I was happy and got my hopes up, but considering the trend with non - saiyan characters (or lately everybody except Goku and Vegeta) I think I should've know better. The fact that Buu got eliminated before he even got to fight is also a bad sign :( Sure, Piccolo is way more popular and symbolic to the franchise and you'd assume he'd be treated a little better, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Dunno if this was already addressed in previous pages but, wasn't it established that the saiyans were a primitive tribe still stuck in the stone age prior to them stealing the tsufurujins technology? It always made more sense to me that they were native to Planet Plant because of this, but with this new info, now I'm supposed to believe that these guys are able to build spacecraft and travel between planets?! :eh: They look like they could barely build a bicycle ffs.

I'm pretty sure of it.I wouldn't make sense for Beerus to have the three of them play rock paper scissors to determine who will fight first if Piccolo is way weaker than the two.

Nope, Toriyama himself provided these sketches for the anime staff:

I'm really curious on how Planet Salad looks. It would be really cool if architecture-wise it resembles Ancient Rome. Can also see PLENTY of training facilities and a lot of food too obviously.

Zelvin wrote:Maybe the one thing GT did right outside of SS4 design (which was Toriyama anyway)
Toriyama had nothing to do with Super Saiyan 4. He just drew a sketch of SS4 Goku in 2005 for the Dragon Box GT.
TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Universe 7's Saiyans destroyed their planet via something similar to a civil war (perhaps the Super Saiyan God battle), and so they moved to Plant and eventually named it Vegeta.
Why assume that it was the SSG battle? From what we know, this happened on Planet Vegeta, and it wasn't a big civil war, just a rebellion of a few good Saiyans.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Lord Frieza wrote:The original Super Saiyan legend tells us that he destroyed the planet he was on, while it is only speculation on my part theirs a good chance this was the Salad and the surviving saiyans migrated to planet Plant.
It does not, that was a fabrication by the funi dub. The original version did not feature any explanation for those filler scenes.

That is rather neat. If the Tuffles do end up being mentioned in Super, it'll be interesting to see if their backstory resembles what King Kai told Goku during that one filler in Z.

Imagine Kyabe transforming into SSJ4! That would be a twist.
