A New Remaster coming to Latin America?

That sounds like a rather cumbersome process to scan scenes piecemeal like that. Wouldn't it make sense to do it all at once to have all the raw material they could possibly need just in case? Then again, I suppose it is likely they didn't cover the filler episodes at the very least. What a shame. Toei had the perfect opportunity (and financial excuse) to do a full archival scan of one of their most historically important shows, but they were too shortsighted and miserly to give a damn.

As they say, money speaks, and it's Toei's main focus. Well, any businesses focus really. Still sucks ass, as a genuine remaster could be fantastic (I'd still skip the filler arcs, personally).

I don't think we're sure what was scanned though. Kei could be right or at the most filler episodes were not scanned. Maybe they did scan them thinking they'd put them on bluray? Or re-scanned episodes when they started Buu kai (which had filler episode(s) in them). Maybe they are using FUNi's raw scans? I mean they do have the whole series scanned in HD. I'd to see this!MindForgedManacle wrote:As they say, money speaks, and it's Toei's main focus. Well, any businesses focus really. Yes, they must have scanned the entire episodes when it comes to the ones whose most parts are used in Kai, but I don't think they bothered to do the same to use just one or a few shots from the episodes with a lot of filler. The same goes for the random shots from the original series.ParkerAL wrote:That sounds like a rather cumbersome process to scan scenes piecemeal like that. Its a shame. Dragon Ball really needs to be on bluray...kei17 wrote:Yes, they must have scanned the entire episodes when it comes to the ones whose most parts are used in Kai, but I don't think they bothered to do the same to use just one or a few shots from the episodes with a lot of filler. Let me tell you something guys, I am ALL AGAINST any sort of redubbing, because here were i live, people have been in the process of destroying original dub materials in favour of vapid quick redubs when the actors dont even act anymore, because the dub needs to be done quickly.
Country being of course, MEXICO.
there was a lot of drama regarding episodes from the 1st season of pokemon being redubbed and the shameless PR being that the materials of the old dub were deteriorated, because they didnt bother to keep ot
