Having stood the test of time for more than a decade, there's little to debate about the appeal of DRAGON BALL Z. Except all the plotholes and inconsistencies caused by poorly written filler or the clumsiness of the original creator. Parents who haven't seen any anime before may not understand the genre's worldwide following. Fuck, I don't! You'll need to watch two whole goddamn shows to get a grip on the mind-blowing psychodrama that is Dragonball Z.

Goku, his son Gohan, and their faithful companions and sometimes villains who put their evil aside to kill an even bigger villain who'll probably get in their way when it comes time to take over the world do whatever they can to defend Earth from a variety of feminine alien villains. Goku and Gohan have special powers (including Kame-Hame-Ha (Turtle Destruction Wave) and Kaio-Ken (a power that makes one's hot muscles bulge even more)) and an unyielding commitment to conquer evil or eat a shitload of food. But their skills are often tested by villains who are seeking "genocide" or "mass destruction" or "the inflation of their ridiculous egos." It can be argued that the villains in Dragon Ball Z all suffer from lack of self-esteem or faith in Christ. The ultimate goal of the villains, besides complete domination, is typically to obtain dragon balls (seven in all), which, when gathered together, can grant a steaming pile of wishes.

Compared to its predecessor, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, has many more battle and fight scenes and more violent language (King Kai has got away with saying "FUCK"on the air) -- but, then again, it's also more popular. Probably because of the swear words and violence. Goku and Gohan use "ki" (life force) to perform testacular feats such as flying (through the air) or firing laser blasts from their fingertips (or palms). Cool to some viewers, scary to others; it's a parent's call to decide whether or not the content is appropriate for their kids. But, I mean, fuck. It's not like it matters. Our dumb kids'll just disobey the shit out of us and watch it more if we tell 'em not to. Parents also need to be aware of the skimpy clothes worn by female characters. Especially male parents. Does it arouse you? You're watching a cartoon. But, hey, it's totally okay because there's a whole internet subculture about that kind of stuff. Oh. Yes. Watch Dragon Ball Z for some flirty behavior and language directed at the males.

Make sure to watch the episode where Videl fights Spopovich. She gets R.U.I.N.E.D. RUINED. Make sure your kids see her ambition crushed to shit. Aside from the family, fighting, sex, and food, Dragon Ball Z teaches that once you stand up, you WILL get kicked down. I mean, look at Freeza. Poor feller.

Kids who are interested in other anime series can check out Ben 10, Kappa Mikey, Stripperella, and Duel Masters.

XD

That is all.

King Kai saying fuck on air? I'm assuming that they are watching the Dub, which doesn't even have the word damn said in the worst situations. I SPIT on these reviewers. They honestly need a life.

Where's this review with "fuck" and "faith in Christ"? The one I'm seeing is this:
Having stood the test of time for more than a decade, there's little to debate about the appeal of DRAGON BALL Z. Parents who haven't seen any anime before may not understand the genre's worldwide following. You'll need to watch a few shows to understand the characters, story, and consistent messages that are the main reasons for this show's longevity.

Goku, his son Gohan, and their faithful companions do whatever they can to defend Earth from a variety of bizarre alien villains. Goku and Gohan have special powers (including super strength) and an unyielding commitment to conquer evil. But their skills are often tested by villains who are seeking "genocide" or "mass destruction." The ultimate goal of the villains, besides complete domination, is typically to obtain dragon balls (seven in all), which, when gathered together, can grant a wish.

Unless they watched some subtitled version, in which case 'fuck' is the least of their worries.

I have yet to see a villian who seems to have...'faith in Christ'.

Ever seen "Fight Club"? It's like the part where Tyler is working at the movie theater.

Well Baba's first fighter Dracula Man seemed to have faith in Christ...He gets the crap scared out of him just by looking at a midget making a vague crucifix sign with his body.

How can these clowns call themselves "Common Sense" anything? This isn't common sense or anything that vaguely resembles it. This is a big soccer mom circlejerkfest. I hope nobody comes here and starts spouting this crap. I would have to send them to the next dementioner...kill them...yeah that's what I meant. Don't they know that the show is edited by fanatical people a brainwave away from theirs?

Common sense? If these parents had any real common sense they would sit down with their children and actually watch the shows themselves and form their own opinions on whether it is suitable for their child.

Oh but that's too much effort, someone else do my parenting plz, ktnx.

Well... some of these reviews (by the parents, not the site), believe it or not, seem relatively decent. But the Kids Next Door one... ugh. I don't really care for the show, but what they say on it is ridiculous.

The kids next door review was so stupid, its about the kids version of spies. Kids hates vegtables and cries easily, the reviewers sucks, stupid soccer moms.
