Movie 10 and 11 should have original villains. Movie 10 had the whole monster terrorizing the village theme going for it. Movie 10 felt like they had a original villain plan then decided to throw in Broli in it on the last minute. They could have done a Oni theme villain for Movie 10 then bringing back Broli.

Well its a short movie to the point, Cooler is a cool looking design and there's nothing offensive or stupid about it.

Movies 3-7 are essentially just fight movies with no story. The movies didn't even attempt to have a plot again till Movies 8-9, Movie 10 was just filler padding with a fight again, Movie 11 was awful, and Movies 12 and especially 13 had a good plot.

Movies 1-2 had a decent story.

Movie 3 was a fight movie? I wish... It took half the movie to get to the action and even then it was boring and potentially interesting fights happened off-screen. Instead, we got a never ending Oozaru Gohan part. The concept of the tree was interesting, but the movie was so boring.

I have pretty much the same opinion of both films: I really like the stuff that happens before Broly shows up. Once he does, it's all downhill from there.

I'm not particularly fond of the Broly trilogy, but Bio-Broly is easily my favorite of the three. Sure it's not perfect, but at least it had some interesting Sci-Fi concepts. The second (and to a lesser extent first) were boring as hell.

I still regard Broly trilogies to rank as series best, in particular the 1st & Bio-Broly. Second Coming had "empty feel" for a good 20 minutes, but had its moments with LSSJ Broly vs SSJ2 Gohan & the epic finale.

Lord Slug/Tree of Might & Super Android 13 define bottom of the barrel films. My 2 cents

Hard for me to decide my least favorite since I've just started watching these in Japanese. But...

Movie 8 Broly was alright. I liked the dynamic between him speaking short, stilted sentences when mind-controlled, then becoming theatrical and hammy in his true state. It also is a bit more plotty than the other movies. So it gets a pass.

Movie 11 had a good cast, with Kuririn, 18 and Satan being standouts. And I don't mind Bio Broly's design all that much. So it gets a pass, too. Though I'd probably rate it second.

Movie 10 for me was just a bore. I only watched it because, well, I felt obligated to see it all. And this was me as a teenager who even knew the dub was different, but didn't care. So it fails.

As for the others...

Movie 3 has the rest of the Earthlings, some cute Gohan moments and a really nice atmosphere. Movie 7 has not a lot happening with pretty bad animation. Movie 4 is also boring, but Slug has a good design. Movies 5 and 6 were easy to follow, and had great music, so they held my interest. (I also prefer a few dub Cooler lines to Coola's original ones, like with the scene at the waterfall where dub Cooler talks about his rivalry with Freeza, as opposed to Japanese Coola just boasting.) Battle of Gods and RF held my interest, too, Battle of Gods more than RF. I also like RF's use of casting with the earthlings and Jaco, even Muten Roshi!

Favorite movie is 2. Very creative and fun. Movie 1 takes second place for the battles.

I agree Movie 7 is by far the worst of the movies.

Why is that? I personally like movie 7 the animation and story aren't the best maybe,
but it has good fighting action and BGM. For me, it's certainly not the worst movie of DBZ

The original Broly movie was great. Solid plot, unique ideas, there were good character moments (Vegeta having a meltdown), good use of the Saiyans and Piccolo.

The next two Broly movies could have substituted a new villain and the movie would be better for it. They were just capitalizing off popularity. Anyways of the original movies I'd probably rank them something like:

1. Janemba/Gogeta
2. Wrath of the Dragon
3. Broly 1
4. Tree of Might
5. Dead Zone
6. World's Strongest
7. Cooler 2
8. Cooler 1
9. Lord Slug
10. Bojack
11. Android 13
12. Broly 3
13. Broly 2.

Bio Broly just had more going around the story besides Broly. Broly 2 was a cheap fight with a popular character.

Anyways the two new movies completely outclass all of them anyways.

I think F is easily the worst film in the franchise, excluding Evolution, but I don't agree that 10 is worse than 11. Bio-Broly is definitely worse than Second Coming.

ROF is more of a OVA really.

I don't know why lots of people on this post are hating on BOG and ROF. Those are my two favorite movies. They feel different from the older ones have more interesting villains (exception for ROF since it's just Frieza again) I like how you see new transformations in them, and if you ask me they have more plot development and better fight scenes than the older ones. Now the worst movies imo are Movies 10, 11, and 4.

Movie 10 has totally destroyed the character of Broly much worse than Movie 11 has made, imho. It turned him into a mindless idiot.
