Saiyans, Freeza, Cell and Buu all came from nowhere. They didn't get any build up before their debut and because of that we didn't know they existed, until they were revealed to be the arc villain.Toriyama just brought them from no where.

In other hand, Champa/Vados have been foreshadowed since Super episode 1/2. Champa arc was not their debut.

I disagree since you're comparing them with Champa/Vados, foreshadow doesn't mean character build up, they also came from nowhere.

Saiyans, Freeza, Cell and Boo had build up IMO, they all had backstories as their existence was explained, if I could note characters that came out of nowhere it would be the BoG duo: Beerus, a God that was never mentioned before in the series (ignoring retcons), and his also all powerful attendant Whis that is only said yet to be a "life-form".

There was zero mention of the Saiyans,Freeza or Buu before they first appeared. there was not even single line that Vegeta or Nappa mentioned Freeza in the Saiyan saga. Not even King Kai mention him to Goku because Freeza was made up during his first exact appearance in the manga.

I think he means they made up around during around there first exact appearance while all Freeza,Beerus,Whis,Vados,Champa and the other gods of destruction have been foreshadowed since the first two episodes of Super.

Super does have much better handling and foreshadowing of antagonist than z did. Also it's world building blows both Z in original DB out of the water.

You missed the point. Saiyans, Freeza, Cell and Buu didn't get any build up before they were introduced.
We didn't know there were more saiyans, until Raditz appeared.
We didn't know about Freeza, until Namek arc.
We didn't know about Cell, until he appeared.
We didn't know about Buu, until the Buu arc.

The previous arc never foreshadowed the next villain. Beerus/Whis are movie characters, that Toriyama/Toei didn't thought about until 2012.
Champa/Vados are different. They are collecting Super DBs behind the scenes since Super beginning.

They got foreshadowed in BOG, got their debut in ROF, and now they are the main "villains" of Champa arc. That's goot writting.

I think it's funny seeing people talk about 'lack of tension" after two episodes in, when we actually had foreshadowing of dangerous things happening already. It there wasn't a manga, people would be left with many, many questions after the last episode.
Five episodes into the Buu arc and all we had was Gohan going to school or chasing robbers wearing a tokusatsu hero costume. It's not even comparable.

It's too soon to really judge the arc as a whole since it just started. It's just ok right now as far as I'm concerned, with nothing really all that groundbreaking yet. The seeds for said groundbreaking of course are around, such as Super Dragon Balls. But that's about it. We're being introduced to some people from Universe 6, but not the universe itself yet. Cabba's stuff is absolute garbage in my opinion, but other people are fine with it. I'm more interested in the Freeza race guy and Hit since Cabba is a disappointment so far. There's no tension yet because obviously Beerus would never get rid of earth so that's just stupid. Also even if our guys lost, nothing really changes. The best I have heard is perhaps Beerus tries to get rid of earth in that case as a poor sport. That's about it. Also there's no tension yet because we just started the damn arc. Yeah quickly setting up the stakes is nice, but we got what we have, which isn't bad yet.

I don't get why people expect any sort of tension or danger in db anymore considering by eoz their still fine and dandy. Any sense of tension isn't there anymore death in db is like in comics you died once and it's only a matter of time until ya come back to life.

The only way death will mean anything is if all dragon balls are nuked in power, or they make them to where you can only use them like 3 times and afterwards they turn to dust. If it took say 10 years to recharge then that'd be a big deal. Death would matter anyways.

Somewhere in the anime Whis told somewhere that Beerus had chosen Goku & Vegeta. Wish look like a really good guy. What if thats not true? That he and Beerus have sinnister plans, like they training Goku and Vegeta so that they can take over they'r power? So or he or Beerus become stronger? I know this sounds funny or a joke.

One of the ways BOG and Super diverged with that was in BOG Whis offered Beerus' job (once Beerus dies) to Gokû, where in Super he (jokingly? seriously?) offered it to Vegeta instead.

Well that's actually a pretty good theory! xD
I was wondering that question myself lately what he would've wished for otherwise. Since he was already searching for the super dragon balls. So maybe he did indeed wanted to lose some weight. That makes the most sense.

I'm not sure when, but I can't wait to see, it will give us a better idea of how long it will be before we get to the tournament proper.

Yeah, I've been thinking we'll get 2 episodes after this coming one before they show up at the tournament and then an episode dedicated to the characters getting there and their interactions once they get there and maybe the written test, though the written test could also be the first half of the first Goku vs Botamo episode.
But I want to know what we'll see in the episodes before they go to the tournament, obviously we'll see some training with Goku and Vegeta as well and Bulma and Jaco going to Zuno's place, but what else? Will we get some more Gohan and Piccolo training beyond what's coming up this week? Will we get to see Monaka's home planet? Will we see any of Champa's scouting for his team? I'm super excited for this new content and I kinda wish the manga wasn't spoiling some things, hopefully the anime catches up soon. I mean the cast should be showing up at the tournament grounds around the time the next chapter comes out, meaning we might know the outcome of the first fight before it even starts in the anime.

I think that if U7 loses Goku and Vegeta will take up Cabba on his offer and visit Planet Salad and then either while they're there or at some point after that the Saiyans will be given a job by their employer to take out some bad guy but then that bad guy turns out to be too much and then he's the main villain of the arc.
