Something something. They see the 6 Super Dragon Balls when going to the Nameless Planet and get astonished by their planet-like size. The other ones don't have summaries.

You know, they still have to squeeze the paper test in there so Goku vs Botamo will probably be quick... Also, what I find strange is that the Makankousappou, if hit, is an attack for killing and we all know what Super thinks about that kind of violence... I wanted Piccolo to win but if his trump card is that attack, I can't see it working at all.

That's the problem. It's not like we didn't see people impaled and killed off by laser beams in the series already.

Now that i think about it, since Goku will be out soon, Hit defeating (and killing off?) Monaka could be the trigger to whatever comes next.

DAMN that's rushed I thought Goku vs Botamo would last at least 2 entire episodes. If we keep at this pace the tournament is going to end much faster than I originally predicted.

Btw, I wonder if there's any chance that Goku and Botamo tying didn't get them disqualified and instead they will get to replace whoever loses on their team after recovering their stamina.

It's entirely possible that the fights later in the tournament will be much longer, I mean this is the very start of the tournament. But yeah, we'll probably have moved on from the tournament by the early to mid 40's (episode numbers).

So Goku gets taken out fairly early on, nice. Although, I've got a sneaking suspicion that being tired is gonna decide the outcomes of these battles and I'm not sure I like that even if it makes sense for this type of tournament.

That's what happens when you announced about the new arc so early even before the series debuts. You start to rush everything when you are trying to meet people's excitement.

The production didn't help either. They were trying to force into things when they weren't ready to debut. It's stinks, but it's the reality of Toei Animation. If you shut up about the plots and be patient with the production process, maybe we wouldn't be having this kind of discussion.

Well, I think it was the series' official twitter account that said something about Toriyama delivering a "thick" draft to Toei, and with the tounament being this fast paced, everything seems to indicate this tournament won't be the main event/conflict of the current arc, just like we've all been speculating throughout the last months.

I think he used it on Shisami, right? But he stopped the attack somehow. Either way, if Toriyama didn't specify it in his script then I don't think it really counts.

In the manga, if I remember well, Piccolo only used it on Raditz and Cell never did it so the only experience we have of the attack is breaking armor and piercing bodies. No one has ever been hit by it and lived to tell, that's where I was going. Even filler didn't have ayone hit by it, instead they deflected the attack.

This prevents Frost from being hit by it and if he isn't hit, then he blocks/deflects/dodge. Not that interesting but we'll see.

Some country announced that they got the 1st 52 episodes which might mean that's when this arc ends so if they're rushing through the tournament then that probably means there's something else going on in this arc.

1 episode fights isn't that bad if the entire episode is focused on the fighting so hopefully they won't be cutting to comedy every few seconds like they did during Goku and Freeza's fight in ep25.

This is my worry. I generally like Super's comedy and I don't mind the fights only being an episode or so, but if they're going to contain a match to that kind of pacing, they actually have to have fighting. So my main fears are that the characters are barely going to do anything and it'll feel like an old turn based JRPG with the stronger character nuking the weaker one after a turn or two.

I don't see how this indicates it is being rushed? Seems a perfect pace for a tournament.
