Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Goku will mostly like either laugh at an embarrassing defeat, or just just snap his fingers and be like "drat" at losing so early and not being able to fight everyone else. Then he'll just move on to watching the other fights. Vegeta will probably mock him regardless, and knowing Super!Goku, Goku will mock him right back if he loses later on after all Vegeta's big talk.namekiansaiyan wrote:He will just walk off and vegeta will probably mock him
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Goku won't lose to Botamo. It will be a draw or Goku will get disqualified. Also, though unlikely as there was no mention of such thing, there might be time limit on the fights similar to some rounds Tenkaichi Budokai where there were rounds that had 30min time limit.
Never going to happen and I wouldn't personally want to see such "character development" happening either. Goku lost in 2 tournaments just for details for which he could reasonably have regrets or blame his luck but he didn't care at all. He was care-free as ever. In GT he even lost to a kid because of tickling. Again same reaction. And that was kid Goku too - kids usually behave as spoiled brats when losing keep finding excuses and blaming everyone else for their own failures.Noah wrote:I hope they show Goku on his knees crying after that, it would be a good character development.

This thread http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... =7&t=27546 has a really interesting theory on how Gokû and Vegeta haven't been acting 100% like themselves after they defused; that because their permanent fusion was accidentally ripped apart that little bits of their personalities might be mixed up.ArchedThunder wrote:What do you mean by this?Chuquita wrote:I still think Gokû hasn't been alright since he and Vegeta defused their permanent fusion inside Buu. Like making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then opening the sandwich back up--you're gonna have some jelly on the peanut butter side and some peanut butter on the jelly side.

I like that theory, also it just makes me want Goku and Vegeta too fuse in Super even more, and I already REALLY wanted it to happen.

If there's a being who is more powerful than beers or Champs in the coming arcs after the tournament arc then I'm pretty sure they are bound to fuse to fight, I don't want new transformations for goku & vegeta it's getting boring!!

Not even a little upset? I mean he trained for 3 f****** years, he was extremely excited about this tournament the U6 fighters and etc., I don't know how will be his fight against Botamo, but if is something "unfair" that give us the feeling Goku didn't used his full potential, I could totally see he pretty upsed about it.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:That's not at all in Goku's character and never has been. Oh, you must be talking about that interesting thread theory, I don't know I would like to see Goku demonstrate other feelings than cheerfulness and excitement.Chuquita wrote:I still think Gokû hasn't been alright since he and Vegeta defused their permanent fusion inside Buu. Well, on the occasions that Goku loses in the Tenkaichi Budokai he was in the finals and used his full potential and in GT it was a gag, he was not even being serious.Speedster wrote:Never going to happen and I wouldn't personally want to see such "character development" happening either. Just read what I said in quotes above, then you will understand that I want to see Goku be more than a one-sided character.

He did not even cry when Kurririn and piccolo died, or when the earth was destroyed by freeza or when he made the decision to leave their kids and take Mr. Satan and the dog to Supreme kai's planet. I dont know why he would cry because of a stupid loss. He will probably be like, "Looks like he beat me" or if they tied "Are you serious that sucks.". If it would be a idiotic loss by goku , he would have his hand behind his head and be laughing. Beerus would be like WTF man.Noah wrote: I hope they show Goku on his knees crying after that, it would be a good character development.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Well, on occasions you cited does not have much to do with what I said. I mean Goku is batte maniac, right? He is having a lot of expectations towards this tournament, he wants to test his limits, so it would be interesting if a premature loss would be something that would negatively impact.Sodhi wrote:He did not even cry when Kurririn and piccolo died, or when the earth was destroyed by freeza or when he made the decision to leave their kids and take Mr. Satan and the dog to Supreme kai's planet. Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Being upset and being down on his knees crying like a spoiled brat are two entirely different things. Vegeta already had acting like a whiny bitch covered during the Cell Arc, and it wasn't enjoyable then. If Goku loses, I'm sure he'll be upset, but he'll act like he always has when he's disappointed about something. He'll pout for a brief moment to show his disappointment and then he'll shrug it off and watch the rest of the fights with excitement to see what his teammates and their opponents are capable of, all the while wishing he was the one in the ring again with a smile.Noah wrote:Not even a little upset? Like I said, what you suggested isn't a Goku thing to do. It's not a development he needs either.

I've heard rumors that the NX handheld will be big with AR. I'm really wanting them to announce a Dragon Ball Hero type of AR game soon.

Goku will rage so hard he will start firing ki blasts at the audience killing all his friends and Whis has to stop him.

Start of the Demon King Goku arc, with Vegeta as the new main character of the series. Whis tries to stop Goku but Goku's little babby rage boosted his strength higher than Whis and he kills him, CAN VEGETA STOP GOKU?emperior wrote:Goku will rage so hard he will start firing ki blasts at the audience killing all his friends and Whis has to stop him.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Couldn't it be possible that Goku wins his match but has afterwards a typical "I'M HUNGRY!"-Attack and starts eating for 24 hours while the spectators get annoyed/impatient and Piccolo is tagged in (either for the time being until Goku has finished eating or permanently because Goku gets disqualified)? That wouldn't be out of character and it would give the other fighters a chance to actually fight (in case Goku is right about him being strong enough to take out all 5 opponents) without having Goku losing (for those who would complain about that).

That's stupid and Goku is already full when fighting Botamo, so much that he has to run around because he ate too much.

Especially as I'm sure Goku likes fighting more then eating.emperior wrote:Xaroc wrote:Couldn't it be possible that Goku wins his match but has afterwards a typical "I'M HUNGRY!"-Attack and starts eating for 24 hours while the spectators get annoyed/impatient and Piccolo is tagged in (either for the time being until Goku has finished eating or permanently because Goku gets disqualified)? Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Yeah, I hear you. Although I never said it'd be a great idea or that I like it myself in the first place (and I totally forgot about the "I ate to much before the match" thing (but is that even possible for Goku?)). Unless he ran to much and got hungry again after his running-workout it's really unlikely, but I wouldn't rule it completely out yet because Goku could say something like "fighting makes me hungry" or Botamo pulls some crazy stunt that makes him use more power than he first anticipated.emperior wrote:Xaroc wrote:Couldn't it be possible that Goku wins his match but has afterwards a typical "I'M HUNGRY!"-Attack and starts eating for 24 hours while the spectators get annoyed/impatient and Piccolo is tagged in (either for the time being until Goku has finished eating or permanently because Goku gets disqualified)? And during the Other World Tournament Goku ate between the matches too and he was dead at that time (yes, I know that tournament was anime-only) and Kaio-sama had to drag him to the ring because he hadn't finished yet. And yes, it's still stupid but wouldn't also be the first time something happens in Dragonball that (some) people dislike or that's illogical in the first place (logic doesn't work in general in animes/mangas like this).
About if Goku likes fighting more than eating... I don't think there's a clear answer, since he's never doing more than fighting/training and eating (I don't count the work Chi-Chi forces him into because he clearly doesn't want to do it). I stick with "he loves doing both things".
But I wonder... if he loses right of the bat (or even just a draw), what power-up comes next when SSJGSSJ/SSJB doesn't help? And Botamo isn't even the strongest of the U6-Warriors, right? Please don't let it be just the regular SSJ-Forms only in different colors. Not that I say SSJG and SSJB are stupid, but doing the same thing over with SSJ2 and SSJ3 variations would be boring.
